thinking about redoing the seats in my boat..dont seem to hard with some spray adhesive and some sowing..im thinking carbon(looking) blue and some charcoal grey..boat is blue and white. i also sprayed the tower in a plastidip black( everything is holding up besides where the speaker mounts were when we moved them a little and ripped a little off ). also planning on doing the windows in a tint. depending on how much all this repairs will cost
im wondering what yall would think with blue and charcoal..the carpet is a light grey but i plan on redoing that as well.

If I were you I'd copy Jake! He sent me a ton of pics and his looks schweeeeeeeeeeeeet.

I'm not a big fan of white vinyl in a white hull because one or the other is always going to be off a little or look dirty.

Charcoal is going to look almost black from just a little ways away and definitely gets hot. If you're looking for a high contrast finish then charcoal with a bright blue and some lighter gray would look sharp IMO. Hard to beat the combination of light/dark with a bright color to set it off. If you don't go with carbon fiber, you can do other accents, stitching or patterns to change it up. Mine is all lightly textured Naugahyde with some style mixed in.

Well I'm going to do it myself with a person who can use a sowing machine so it won't be as nice as yours haha..not a big fan of the white on the seats haha . I deff wanna do some textured vinyl and carbon will be one of them. How hard was the captains seat? I think that will be the hardest

That pic of the three above is silvertex. It is the soft stuff found in many new boats head rest area.
Here is Gemini and Apex that I have also seen in new boats.

Contact Perfect Fit (http://www.perfectfit.com/f17418/156710/Upholstery-Vinyls/Carbon-Fiber-Vinyl-54.html)and buy yourself some full yard samples, the little squares don't represent the actual products well enough, On the colors that you don't end up using, use those to practice on.

Get a Singer from Amazon that does vinyl, they aren't that expense now.

I say yes on the piping for sure. It makes a big difference around the edges where the seats sit or touch the boat. When I got mine redone last year they didn't put piping on the back seats and I didn't like it at all.

Do the carpet first or while the interior is out. You don't want to be ripping, cutting, and gluing around a new interior after the fact.

i was just thinking that haha

Yes - carpet first! Check out Corinthian Marine's closeout deals. They update it about once a month - could save yourself some coin. On the piping, I'd say "yes" but selectively use it. The girls don't like have vinyl pattern tattoos embedded in their skin all that much when they've been sitting or laying across piping.

Sivs1 - looks sharp!

If it were me, I would question that many seams on a seat that is stepped on frequently. Seems where a lot of tears being due to that many holes being poked.
