Frist if anyone has a old trick release laying around I'm interested in finding one.

Now for the creative minds..... our youngest daughter was born without four fingers on her left hand. She has been skiing and boarding but as she progresses and getting bigger it is getting harder for her with only one hand to hold the rope. We have been using a small piece of rope tied to the handle so she can pinch it with her thumb and palm, it does work for her but its not the best. Most other things we have found raps her wrist and hooks or grabs the handle. But everyone can see the problem with these options (need a trick release) and if she falls and I drag her I'm afraid she give up.

I know many of you have been around the sport for years and seen many things. Has anyone seen anything that might be helpful? Or any creative mind out there with any idea?
Thanks, Wes

I have no helpful info for you at all, sorry.

I do want to say how awesome it is that you encourage your daughter to continue to try things, despite some obvious setbacks. I wish you good luck in finding a safe option that allows her to excel. I will be following this thread for sure. Good on you guys!

Wes,

There are some awesome folks affiliated with this group:

http://ucanski2.com

They may be able to point you in the right direction and/or already have a solution for you. They have helped design all kinds of cool contraptions.

I'll ask my buddy Kevin if he knows of anything that would work.

Here is another group that has made many custom contraptions and might be able to advise:
