So, spring is not yet in the air but your thoughts are already returning to the water and getting your precious Skier's Choice product wet again. So, what's the plan? When is your projected first day on the water (for the new owners) or back on the water for the rest of us? Don't forget to come back and tell us how you did.

I hope by March but no later than April 1!!! I want summer to be here now... Georgia shouldn't be this cold

It's too cold in May. I prefer to start late and keep going into the fall. I laugh at those who get their boats out at the first sign of warm weather. It's nicer in October but by then, everyone around here has winterized their boats and are headed up to the mountains to trip over each other on the two ski runs that are open early.

The plan is first weekend in May to open up and get boat out. Dam repairs are finally complete and the CORPS are planning raising lake level 40+ feet to normal levels after 8 years. So our lake time might be limited due to massive amount debris washed back out to sea. Think I'll let the others chew it up first!!!

April 1st rain or shine is our thing. may have to put it up for another 2-3 weeks but the season launch will be 04/01

I have been on the water 3 or 4 times so far this month. I've pretty much had the lake to myself.

SoCal has some perks.

Come visit me and I'll get you all on the water.

Hopefully a helluva a lot sooner than last year!

Cinco De Mayo 2013 was ridiculously nice here so maybe Cinco De Quatro 2014?

Boat goes in mid May but we don't do any water sports until May long weekend which is th 24th this year. Pretty chilly water but the kids enjoy the first weekend out at the lake.

Well with all the extreme subzero weather - We will be lucky to get in the water on Memorial day. We typically try to get in by end of April beginning of May. But I bet we have a foot more ice at this time than we did last year.

We seldom get out before the end of may, so i'm sure it will be the same this year. We do have a Powell trip booked for the first week of June, so I will want to get the lsv out at least once prior to that to ensure all is good mechanically before that whole week on the water.

My new (to me) boat is having a new tower installed due to cracks on the old one, and of course while there, I added more amps another sub and a couple of pairs of WS XS-808s in boats - But here in NorCal we have had ZERO rain, Absolutely NONE!

It is insane, while the East Coast is getting frozen out, we are sitting around in 75 degree weather watching our plants die!!

If it doesn't start raining soon, we will be waxing out boat in May and trying to Google Map a route to some other state that has water. There's always the Delta nearby, but it will be swamped with drunks!!

Sad situation. I have already changed my plans to head east instead of south this summer.

I love it when we have a dry winter because we always have water but with slower flows on the Columbia and Snake Rivers which means the water temps go up, up, up.

Yep, Shasta looks horrible and so does Oroville. Me and a buddy were just talking about whether to head towards the PNW or down to Mead. I can't believe that the desert lakes may end up with more water than us

Well, I guess that means I am tied with ya for the win...

(although you'll likely have YOUR boat on the water before mine. Especially since I have to find the time/motivation/weather to pull the gas tank and take a look at the rudder packing. As well as replace my bilge pump. Ugh.)

Wanted to get in last weekend with the boat, but over 6 inches of rain put a lot of trash in the lake. Didn't want to take the chance of hitting debris. Looking to get more rain and storms today/night. Maybe in by the 15th with the boat. Did get out on the SUP.

Dayum! What happened?

We probably won't be getting out until Memorial Day because my wife is due any day now (actually due date was Wednesday 4/2, this little guy is stubborn) and she will need a few weeks rest and all. I spent Friday getting the boat mechanically ready, still have to wash/wax it and put all the gear and ballast bags back in.

BTW, how often do you guys change your spark plugs? I am thinking I should change mine. Originals since I bought it in 2010. I am not a motor guy so was just wondering. I can do general stuff and maintenance, was curious since my manual says to "check" them each year. Boat only has 147 hrs on it. Figured I didn't need to make my own thread on it.

Saturday we go pick up the boat. So May 11th still looks to be our day. Thanks to Texas Mastercraft for having a sale on dry suits. Ice just left 3 weeks ago and we have not had a high above 65 yet this year. I dont want to know how cold the water is.

FINALLY looking to get on the water today. It's been a long haul. Even with decent weather, i've had to wait until I had some dry weather to work on some stuff on the boat since I don't have covered storage. I was able to get the gas tank pulled and replaced the rudder packing. That was the big job for me. While I had the gas tank out, it seemed like a natural time to install some transom lights. Also had to replace the bilge pump and while I was at it, I installed a new digital bilge switch instead of going with an all-in-one solution.

Then had to fight with various things (P.S. don't lose the 'key' that holds the impeller on the shaft of the water pump!).

Finally have the boat at least water-worthy as I NEEDED to get out on the water to enjoy today's unseasonably warm 90 degree weather!
