We are currently looking at the colors for our new Mondo, I was able to pick the options, but the wife and kids are picking the color. Currently we have 2 choices after about a dozen or more. Let me know what you guys think.

The white tower really pops, but as the wife said will my OCD having the black window frame cause issues? Maybe they could powder coat a white one for me as a test subject.

A vinyl shop might be able to take care of it for you. I had them cover my chrome with a red stripe. I know mine's not the whole frame but it might be something they can do.

#2. looks nicer and with a white topdeck, less likelyhood of baking a body part in the summer sun.
I'm a believer that topdecks should only be white..

Have you thought about going with the lighter blue and white combo. I looked at a wake setter with the light blue and white and it looked awesome. Either way I like #2

Chad, no go on the lighter blue or I would have bought the Mondo in Knoxville I drove last fall.

#1 all the way. You don't want white top deck or interior if given the option.

you must not live where the sun shines :)

south and west, any color topdeck other than white is an invitation to burn :)

I basically have #1 on my 2012 LSV and still love it. However I would maybe be swayed to # 2 now with the white tower. Also, as much as I like the color deck it does mar quite a bit from life jackets/boards and needs a good buff to get them out(so I have been told). A white deck would not really show them.

guess I'm the minority here. both are great and nothing like the virgin tow home with your brand new boat but I think #2 looks too "busy". #1 has a nice flow with smooth colors

Great looking options.

I am an bit anal about scratches and marks in my boat. If I had the opportunity to do it again, I would get White, as the hull color for the bottom. I hate all the scratches I can see from the bunks when the boat comes on and off the trailer.

I have a White tower as well, Powder coated. Caution with it, they scratch easy as well, also the mar with colors. Just pulling in the extension cord one night to charge my batteries caused a black mark on my tower. Also towing with the cover caused light marring marks. They come off with some elbow grease but its still frustrating to me.

Mike,

I'm thinking of putting 3M clear bra type of material on the tower any place it might touch. Have you looked at that for your new black truck?

No not yet, Wouldnt be a bad ideal on the hood for sure. I figure the bumpers I can always powder coat down the line if they get scratched or rock chiped.

I might have to look into 3M for the tower though. Never though to do that but i know a few places it could use it.

I drive 30K+ miles a year and my 09 Black Chevy looked like crap at 80K So first thing I did was cover the front of the suburban. Currently at 42K miles have have had 1 stone scratch the film but not the paint and 1 dent from a stone, but no paint or film damage. Wish I would have did the wife's black Accord. Might this spring, to her it's just a car they get driven and replaced.

Why the 537 prop? Isn't that a ski prop? I think your hole shot for surfing and wakeboarding is going to suck, especially with the 330 HP motor. Am I missing something?

I confirmed with the dealer it was the correct prop, but you know dealers. I will default to the Moomba Forum knowledge base for more infor on the prop.

Agreed on that being the incorrect prop if you are primarily surfing and wakeboarding.

Nice catch Joe.

Nice Color Choice, Will look good!!

When we ordered our LSV I was told the 537 was the "right" prop as well by our dealer. And I hadn't found this great forum until it was to late to change the order. And just recently I noticed that on the standard options on the website Moomba has a 14.25x14.5 listed a standard(which is a OJ 475, correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm thinking on changing to ACME 1433 this summer after I give the 537 a chance.

I would at least get the 650's like the LSV and Mojo have. I'm sure they can give you a good deal on those since they have them in the other Moombas. A little more weight never hurt anyone! ha

When I test drove the Mondo last fall, I put my 750's in the rear. They were a perfect fit.
