So I received word that our Mondo showed up today. We quickly ran over and took a quick look at it before they had completely removed its shipping cover. I have to say I am pretty pumped at the result of the build.

Spring can't come fast enough!

That's fantastic!!! Wonder if this is anything like groundhog day? If you get a new boat, in MN, in January, then spring will come six weeks early. I'm thinking it may very well be. Fingers crossed.

I like the suggestions!

I have to admit, I am not the handiest of guys, don't have a ton of time (4 kids under 7) and this is my first boat so I went with a lot of upgrade options. Although I could likely have saved money if I did them myself at some point in the future, I figured I would not likely get to them anytime soon if I didn't just do them right away.

Ballast - yes - need to upgrade from stock ballast

Upgraded prop (in case you didn't order from factory) - need to look into this - any suggestions? I went with the 345 upgrade engine.

Surfboard(s) - yep need to get these but I have never surfed so not sure what board to go with especially since I am a bigger guy (200lbs).
Suggestions appreciated.

Speakers, sub, amps - went with upgraded tower speakers, bow speakers, amp and possibly sub (not sure about sub though)

FAE - on list for future upgrades
Custom reg numbers - I believe dealer is already taking care of this
More ballast - agreed
More speakers - agreed

Find out from the dealer what you have. If you haven't run it yet, ask them to swap it out now. I think the ACME 1433 is the upgrade from the factory and what I run with the 345 on my Mojo.

Ballast is easy (to start :) ) with plug & play from stock to 750's or 1,100's.

For surfing, look into a Phase 5 Scamp for the kids and Model X for you.

Other than that, I think you're set to have some fun!

Find out from the dealer what you have.

I have a Nibral, OJ, 14.25 x 14.5 4 blade. I have a lot to learn though because I don't really know what all of this means.

This is a fun place to learn.

Nibral is the material tow boat props are made from (nickel, brass, aluminum alloy).
OJ is the manufacturer. Many of us have switched over to ACME props as the OJ's seemed to produce a very noticeable "growl" when getting on plane.
Follow this to get a great understanding of what the numbers mean:

Your dealer can/may help, but the folks at both Nettles and Wakeprops/Wakemakers really know their stuff and have great customer service.

Thanks for posting this. Just got off the phone with the dealer, guess it was my last chance to change the order before production. Ordered the ACME 1235 prop! This is starting to feel more real all the time!
