Apparently SC has come out with a manual surf enhancement for the Mondo similar to Supra. Does anyone have any info on this option?

what is said device and is it public yet. interesting to define "manual". like the old manual wedges or one that is moved via a lever like the wakeplate vs an electronic nanny..

Looks like it could be retro'd as well since it's basically trim tabs. I'm sure they've beefed up the transom some though, guess we'll see. I'd love to see a kit to add this on to my Mojo!

Just called Moomba about a possible "surf system" on the 2014 Moombas. They said there will as system on the 2014 models! The offical news release is coming soon!!!!!!

Even on the 2014s that are in production? Is this an option or an included feature? I was told my production date was Dec 10th.

Not sure on which production dates they will start putting them on, did not dig deep enough. They did tell me that all models can be retrofitted if need be. My dealer is going to get more info for me.

Think were talking about the LSV hull

I would think if its retrofitable it would fit to the 06's-same hull as the current LSV

since you all are so impatient, SC has decided to provide a "sneak peek" at the new system.

It will be called, "the wedgie" and, as mentioned, is a manual system. My guess is that Dusty will be the first to want this on his boat.

Heard today that the surf enhancement will only be available for the Mondo and Mojo. As stated above, it will be a manual system without the use of actuators. Cost will be around $1000.

Just heard the system is called the Moomba Flow and will be retro for the mojo all the way to original date of manufacture and then by april it will be retro for the LSV. the system will be on the boats for shows starting in January. it will run just under $1000 in parts. it is a combination of NSS and Swell in design but will be manually deployed on opposite surf side with three available settings controlled via pin. press release is supposed to be in the next couple of days.

Spring???? I thought you talked about getting a new SC next year.

We decided not to get the SC because we dont want to give up the space of the Mojo yet. I'm hoping a new Supra comes out to replace the 242.

Not to worried about spending a little money on this new device. Just makes the Mojo more desirable.

well, at this point if the rumors are true with it possibly being a manual system, I don't think I would want to add it on. now if its manual as in having a control toggle on the dash like the wakeplate then that's a different story

Yup, speculation says I'll have another new Supra to test this summer. Not sure if the budget will handle or I can swallow a 100K boat. IDK we will see, life has been throwing me a few expenses I wasn't expecting.

Interesting. I may should have waited to buy until after the boat show. Good to know I can add it on though. Suppose to get my trailer swapped out in the next week at Atlanta Marine. I wanted a break away tongue so I could fit it in my garage and the boat I bought had a fixed one. I may get a sneak peak because I bet the boat coming from the factory with my trailer is headed for the boat show.

It drives me nuts they would show a clip of someone being drug behind the boat without a board. Surely it wouldn't boost sales and it doesn't help the sport.

Looks like a great product and something that could be easily retrofitted. Simple and straight to the point. Any issues with it if it gets left out at cruising speeds?

From what I have heard it will shoot a spray of water almost vertically if left out at cruising speeds so you will now right away if you forgot to put it up.

At the 55 second mark you can see a spray on the opposite surf side which is created by the tab in the water.

Does anybody know if Moomba will endorse retrofitting on old style hulls?

Seems like a pretty easy thing to make yourself as well…I'm just always sketched out when I think about drilling holes in the transom/hull.
