Does it have batteries in it? That might be the problem.

Are you talking about the Kenwood remote? If so it is a wired remote and one of the wires probably came undone. It should be wired into your switch panel somewhere.

I've got the same problem. Never worked. It's the remote by the drivers seat, not the wireless remote. I'm taking the boat in to have it checked, cause I'm also getting an electrical burn smell from mine. Not sure what that's from, and don't want to take a chance.
