I have been eying a new prop for my 2013 OBV to deal with the add'l ballast and I have seen some saying they use/love the 1433 and others saying the same things on the 1847 -- any insight on the differences between the two? Or maybe there is little difference since both seem to perform well?

From the specs that I see the only difference is the cup...

1847 Specifications
Diameter: 14"
Pitch: 14.25"
Cup: .150"
Rotation: Left Hand
Shaft: 1 1/8"

1433 Specifications
Diameter: 14"
Pitch: 14.25"
Cup: .105"
Rotation: Left Hand
Shaft: 1 1/8"

1847 if you want a little more top end speed, otherwise they're both good. We slalom every once in awhile so I went with the 1847..

either one. if you are coming from the 13x17 variants, the difference is amazing....

The OBV was struggling to get on plane with the 400# stock bags so I'm guessing it will be even worse with the 750s that I installed so it sounds like one of the two of these will be a must.

^^ that all day. I top out at 39.5 (gps) with my 1847 but have a very slight miss/stutter at WOT for any length of time. Rarely run much above 30 though. I think I could get a few hundred more rpm out of it since I'm due for a tune up.

Kind of like towing with a half ton and then moving up to a diesel one ton... :)

my launch20 wouldn't even think about it and once I swapped out for a new prop, holeshot was amazing and it would have no issues planing with surf weight in it, although it was hard to turn :) did lose some off the top, but as berg mentioned, that boat rarely ever saw a speed over 30 unless I was towing my buddy waterskiing and that was usually for a quick set at 36 and done.

best mod I ever did to that boat hands down...

I have an 08 supra 22ssv with stock center bag and 750's in the rear. I boat at 5500' which makes a hugh difference. Buy your prop from nettles they have the best prices and are great to deal with. I had a stock oj 13.75x15.5 on my boat. I bought the 1847 from them but this last spring was about 200 rpm short of max empty. I returned it and got the 1433 and love it's guts. I would have been pleased with the 1847 but loose to much at altitude. Talk to the guys at nettles and either way you won't go wrong. Go with the 1847 and if you can't get max rpm out of it, send it back and get the 1433. Those props made a big difference. My boat would cavitate and perfect pass would loose it's mind. I have to turn really hard now to cavitate now. A lot more low end torgue and lost 1 mph on the top end. And no bull$hit we actually use less fuel as we pull a lot. Changing from the oj to acme was a great move. Not a stump puller like some guys describe but a very noticeable difference. Call nettles!!!!!!!!!!!!!
