I know a lot of people are like me and are dog lovers. I treat them like children. So I figured I would start a dog picture thread.

So show us your dog(s)
Breed
Age
Name

First we have Marley. He is a 5 year old English Springer spaniel

We have 2 standard poodles. We moved close to a year ago and actually moved to an area with more Standards than I've seen in any one area.

Here is our youngest ... think he is 2 or 3. One pic as a pup and the other more recent ....

And here is the oldest. He is pushing 11 or 12 ....

The first picture is hilarious. The cat is looking at the dog like what the hell are you and why are you here. Standard poodles are awesome. I have thought about getting one but can't get away from Great Danes

Although sometimes given a bad name, pit bulls are some of the best dogs around, but be careful as they do not tend to float naturally.......

I love pitbulls. I have had a couple. Absolutely great dogs. And you are correct they sink like a rock. Well at least my one did, fitting his name was Rocky. He got cancer and had to be put down :(

Mine on the left, brother's on the right. Talk about a mess in the boat afterwards...

He's 11yrs old now, pretty gray in the beard. Been absolutely great, but don't think we'll have another big dog after he's gone. I would at some point like to have nice carpet and a clean yard while I'm still alive to enjoy it.

"Her" dog Lola. aka Dodo. 1/2 Chihuahua, 1/2 Pomeranian? I call her a Cha-Pow but I know that's not the right saying. Not a bad boat dog - not real crazy about the water though. Barks at EVERYTHING and my shock collar suggestions seem to fall on deaf ears.

Goldens are the best dogs I've ever had and I've had a bunch of breeds including labs, collies, shelties, dobermans, dalmatians, schnauzers, dachshunds, Australian sheep dogs, poodles and many mutts. I don't think I'll ever have another breed. Great dogs that LOVE water. Perfect boat dogs.

That's how I feel about our great dane and english springer. The two best dogs I have ever had. I will keep this combo for the rest of my life. Our springer loves the water and will swim all day. The great dane we had to teach to love the water. Now she loves it. It's the first thing she goes for at my parents when we visit. Either the lake or pool.

My family has bred, raised, and trained Labs since I was a kid! I've got my 7yr Chocolate that I've using to help train my 2yr old Silver!
They don't get to come out on the boat, but we live on the lake so they are in it twice a week fetching tennis balls!!

Here are ours. 2 dabble miniature dachshunds. The darker one is Sadie and the more grey one is Macy. They bark at everyone and everything and don't really like the water too much but we take them out with us ever so often. They are 3 years old I think.

Our 9 year old Beagle Laney.
She is a really good dog (although she can be a handful), and very tolerant of the kids. They call her Lulu.

These were taken today on our way to the ranch:

David,

Those are some beautiful dogs you have there! Had several dogs growing up and my two favorites was our Miniature Dachshund and Australian Shepherd. When trying to find a dog for our kids we settled on a miniature dachshund. She is a great dog. However, out on the boat she has a tendency to act like she wants to jump in when someone is riding behind the boat so we have to hold on to her constantly. What sizes did you order for that vest? Looks like those are two different sizes? I like the look of the vest and found one on amazon and I am leaning toward the XS?

Thanks,

Thanks! I believe one vest is an xs and one is a small. We have one that is little heavier than the other and she kind of fell between the cracks on sizes. The xs is not big enough and the s is too big so she looked a little goofy.
