This is my first inboard......have been with outboards for 30 years

When pulling tubers yesterday when I would make a hard turn to starboard......I would hear a rpm surge and it would feel like an outboard prop slip.....best I can describe it...like the beginnings of an outboards prop packing slipping...

Only thing I could think of is that water intakes are to port side of center.....maybe sucking air in??

Temps and oil pressure all looked good.....

Thank u Ina
Advance for your help

Sounds like your prop is cavitating. No big deal, just be a little less aggressive in your turns. A little bit once in a while is OK but avoid doing that all the time. Could be damaging.

Had the exact same thing myself and Newty is dead on. Swapping to a power prop (Acme 1847) and I've never had it again, even doing some stupid hard tube pulling.

Ha that's a funny fat finger. Almost as good as the top 20 or whatever list you can find online of fat fingered or autocorrect texts.

You don't want to do it often because your engine RPMs will go too high and it's a lot of stress when it catches water again.

Wakeprops.com has a thing were you select your boat and it tells you all the different props that fit it and what they recommend for what type of boating.
