We just took our boat out and drained the block. When we went to replace the bolts on the block so we could run antifeeze there were lots of sparks from contact with the wrench on something.. When we go to start the boat all we hear is clicking? Assuming we hit something that had to do with the starter? Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like you shorted your wrench to alternator main cable. Check the main breaker on top of the engine to see if its tripped. Big red button will be popped out.

Turns out the mini fireworks show somehow shorted our battery. It says it has a full charge, but not enough juice to start the boat. Turned out we can jump our boat using a car battery! :) I'll be shopping for a new battery next spring.
