Hey All,

I received an e-mail from one of the wakeboarding websites (dont remember which one) that stated a competition being held at Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, FL during 4-21-06 thru 4-23-06.

I'm planning on attending. Dont know if the lake will be open to public but it would be quite a party if it was open.

Thought I'd get the word out to my fellow Moomba'ers.

hey jeff, were in for the trip over, have you gotten over to the
winter haven chain of lakes? if not maybee we can meet up
at the cracker barrel on I-4, we've been over a couple of times.
and know a back way in to the boat launch. i'm not sure how
they could close the lake down, they some floating tires-
kinda like a dock that you can tie up to and watch the show at.

hey Ed are you up to it?-oh and good luck with the carb intake and
race.

not sure but cypress gardens still use's mastercrafts or not-but would
be cool to have some moomba's there also.:) :) :)

They are also having a Swivel ski, long jump and barefoot endurance competition march 30-April 1... sound more like your style Ed ? ;)

Lake Eloise is open to boaters, and there is a set of bouys at the perimeter of the Cypress Gardens area of the lake you can moor too. It is patroled as well so it is usually pretty family friendly.

Cypress Gardens is now sponsered by Malibu so they donated six 2005 boats for the re-opening in 2004.

Hope this helps,

Joe

Stacy,

I'm in Orlando, and currently ski in Narcoossee, but have been on almost every chain in a 60 mile radius. Winter Park chain, Harris chain, Fairview chain, Butler chain, Eustis chain, etc.

I did just get my boat... hopefully the wind will die down in 2 weeks and I get start getting rides in.

Ed,

I totally undestand - simple is hard to pass up when it is that good. I'm the same w/ fishing. I grew up in the keys where large game fish are 40 min away and reef fish are 3 min away. Up here it takes 2 hours to get anywhere to fish and more if you want larger game.
