So got my boat back today after getting the oil changed and the wakeplate looked at which was low on fluid. I got back to where I store the boat, took the cover off and find grease and oil stains all over my seats!! Not just the rear deck seats but up front and in the drivers seat. Now my boat is not spotless by any means but I also spend an hour cleaning it after each time out, so I know where any sort of stain or blemish is. Was pretty disappointed, this has become an ongoing issue and along with a few other items I'm going to say they just lost a customer... Anyone ever taken a boat back and made them clean it???

Few Photos of what I'm talking about.. My seats are usually pretty shiny white and rarely dirty!!

Happened to me before, they stored my boat uncovered in a dirt lot for a few days and it got really dirty, I always keep it in the garage. Took it back and made them detail it, which they did, and the next time they serviced it, they stored it in their covered boat storage building.

They better clean that mess!!! I would be livid. My dealer has not done that to me thank goodness (yet).

I'd take it back & have them clean it.

This may also answer the question from your other thread.

I've had it happen also and was fired up but after a quick talk with the service manager they made it right.

Yep - had a big footprint on the carpet and smudges on a seat one time. I cleaned it because I didn't want to drive back but took pics and sent them in. The next Spring's dewinterize was on them.

Last time I went to a dealer there was 3m sealant all over, loose coupler bolts and tools in the bilge. I think somebody got distracted and forgot to go back.

My boat got parked in the back which is gravel when the front paved lot (fenced and secure) was basically empty. Not happy with having to detail my boat for no reason. Will be looking for a break when my new bimini comes in.

ohhhh man.....love this thread!! My dealer hasn't registered my warranty from idmar and I've owned the boat for a year and a half....they backed my boat into someone else's boat and destroyed my platform.....I've been waiting for it all summer to be replaced......did warranty gel coat fix and left a terrible mess all over the place and left scratches all over the hull.....told me boat was ready after having it for one and a half months, and i went to pick it up.....nothing was done.....oh.... and I live 3 hours away from dealer....this has happened twice......that's just a couple things....their is so much more I could add but i don't have the time! anyway....because numerous people have heard my story they have been turned away from any type of skiers choice product....4 guys including myself were going for new boats this year.....i love my moomba...especially the price.....best bang for the buck....unfortunately this dealer has ruined their reputation in this area.....centurion dealer down the road just sold 4 new boats this week to guys I boat with....I have someone coming to look at mine this week....I can't handle the dealer any longer it's making me crazy.....oh...went off on a bit of a ramble.....Its just a given that I have grease all over my seats when i get my boat back from my dealer....along with gel coat remnants...scratches etc!! Brutal!

When you pay a professional, you expect professional work. I'd be upset too OP... and the rest of you who have had issues.

My boat was only in my possession for a week before the dealer bent my wake plate...

It's still only "repaired"... I'm not happy with it but SC said it was documented if there were ever issues in the future

The first time I took my boat to our local dealer they waxed it before giving it back. Rinkers Boat World in Houston is by far the best inboard dealer in the area. Never hear anything good about anyone else, especially SMG formally known as Darryl Moore. They are the Axis Malibu dealer in the area and everyone complains about them! Makes the next boat purchase an easy decision!

I rarely need to have service done at the dealer, but I've always had great luck with my local SC dealer and then a Nautique dealer that I go to because I know them well. None of this would be acceptable, I actually can't believe some of the experiences you guys are having. I'd try to find an independent shop or repair guy (if you're out of warranty) that you trust from this point forward instead of going back to the dealer.
