Ok guys post up your invert tips here.

I am working on my tantrums I cased the other wake on this one but it is only the second one that I have landed

And my first back roll attempt. I think I let the handle out too far on this but I'm not sure

I say your pretty much there!!! The first tantrum looked pretty good. Just needed a little more speed. The second one had more than enough speed and your body didn't get square to the wake causing you to go to revert.

a few things to remember
1. Practice backside re-entries to reinforce the tripping motion from your toes. You want to exaggerate the motion trying to lean over your toes. When you leave the wake you want to be at least vertical. Not leaning back at all.

2. When you think you've waited long enough to push with your toes....wait some more. Use the entire wake.

3. To help get your body square I like to see your elbows pinned to your side and making L shapes with both arms.

Thanks this is something that has taken 9 years a broken ankle and a new boat purchase to accomplish lol. The first one felt the best taking off but I cased the wake bad.

Behind my buddies LSV I find it easier to get more vertical. I'll work on those re-entries I really haven't practiced that enough.

Thanks for the advice!

Btw the Backroll was completely out of the blue. I never tried one but I was pretty stoked on my riding so I decided to wing it. I think I just let the handle get too far away from me.

That backroll was gnarley! The beginning of your edge was a little aggressive therefore you flattened a little too much causing your body to get stretched out when you left the wake. Even with flattening off you still went way to the flats.

Build the edge in slow and steady. Again keep elbows pinned to your side, legs straight holding against the edge and look up and over your lead shoulder. To slow your rotation you can let handle away from your body or move away with your lead hand to keep from going revert. Too much back hand pressure will pull you to revert in a hurry.

Looking good!

What Brooks said... I use less speed on the backroll than a tantrum and elbows at the hips are key to not getting pulled forward.

I was finally able to get back out on Saturday. Landed 6 of 8 and the two I didn't land were because I was exhausted.

One of the better ones.

Nice - I wish I was 30 again, give it another 10 years and see how long the recovery times are :(

You can't be afraid of getting hurt that is when you do.

Anyhow I have our wedding in a couple weeks and the fiance would kill me if I'm on crutches but it would be a great story to tell our kids.
