So I brought my boat in for the first service and asked them to check out the carb because it seemed to be running a little rich, not bad but I noticed a tiny bit of smoke a couple of times. So I get a call yesterday and they tell me that they are replacing the entire carb. I found that kind of odd that it needs to be replaced just for running rich. I'm just guessing, but from their standpoint it's probably easier to just order a new one rather than troubleshoot the one thats on it. They dealer has been very prompt on everything and I'm glad that they are replacing it rather than just telling me it's fine to get the boat out of the way. I just hope that this isn't the start of other things to fail.

I wouldn't worry about it as the the carb is obviously not a sign of anything to do with Moomba and is supplied on the motor by Indmar. Things like that happen. I had a freak fuel pump failure on my boat. It locked up over the winter and had to be replaced when I got the boat out the next season.
