Pretty cool, not into go-fast boats but looks like a good time. Did they close the lake to non-participants or something?

What bridge is that? If its the one that Rte. 49 is on then I will be living about 5 minutes from that bridge. We leave in 2.5 weeks, can't wait.

Edit: missed the first link and picture, so it's even better some wakeboats were involved. Did you participate?

Page 1 pic 10 is the Buster Boyd bridge with Pier 49 marina on the NC side, in the back ground.

Cool shots, i recognize at least 3 boats...one was in the shop last week.

Correct. Started at bustrr boyd bridge ran to the dam (south). Then dam to south sand bar. Didn't close the lake but ran at 10 so no real traffic but us out there. I'm in the black Moomba running next to the red Tige. Great time.

We have something like that here. It's called "driving the boat back to the launch after the fireworks show." Except it is done in complete darkness. Great photos. Good air.

She was not to excited. Had to do a lap around the boat to tighten stuff after that day.

How does your XLV handle chop? We are looking to eventually get into something bigger to help with the larger lakes that are around here. The little OBV gets beat up a bit.

I am just glad she didn't bust her face on the windshield...

That time it actually came down fairly easy. It hits hard when I push it but running 25 isn't usually that big a deal. It's running 30+ when we slam. It cuts thru most of it pretty well.

Ok thanks I understand that it's still a wake boat but we are looking for something bigger that handles chop better.

Stay awesome!

I had a pretty deep v bowrider before getting my mojo and I can't say enough good things about the ride the mojo has. We were out for the 4th on our very busy lake and didn't get beat up at all. The wakeplate helps a lot, I leave it at half down and it lets the v take the swells nicely. I was able to run wot (rarely do) which is right at 50 through pretty rough stuff and it did great. Obviously no offshore boat but surprising for a wake boat.

Jsly I'm on lake Wylie as well. I have the mojo without the tinted windshield (a 2013 same colors as mine with tinted windshield just showed up recently) We are often down toward t bones but usually put in at south point.

Have a safe trip down cns.

Psisk1- sure I've seen you out there. We stay south of bridge for the most part. Surf and ride crowders mostly. South sandbar.

Well we are here and we love it!!! Got here Saturday afternoon, unpacked and settled in. Took the boat out today and had a blast, back to work tomorrow though ugh. What a beautiful lake!

Now we need to just meet up with some others like Jay! I definitely need a tour of the lake. A gentleman at the launch by T-Bones informed us of a "ski/wake cove" a little north but there's so many fingers I couldn't find it. There was no one out really so we found a nice spot and rode the channel. Had a great set and the water was awesome. Saw where the sandbar was (assumed it is a sandbar because of the no wake and people standing about waist high) but we didn't go south of Buster Boyd Bridge just stayed north.

So glad to be here! I don't miss jersey AT ALL!!

Good to hear. I am on the north side of the lake and usually put in at south point boat landing in Belmont. The lake is soooo much nicer south of buster boyd though. The mouth of the south fork river feeds into the lake just north of the sandbar you saw. This causes a lot of mud in the water and trees to be floating up that way. Usually not bad unless it has rained. The tega cay area of the lake is very nice, cleaner water and there is even a park with nice public restrooms that we use if we are down that way. Have fun exploring! The only caution I would take is traveling up north of the Allen steam station, there are a few unmarked very shallow areas if you aren't familiar with the lake. All in all I love the lake and was raised here, so I guess I am partial.
