My cover for my boat has a small hole in it. Had black duct tape on both sides and thought it would work, but was pulled off once i went down the road. Any suggesstions on how to cover it up.

if its small enough maybe you could take it to a shop and pay someone 20$ to patch it?

Get a piece of canvas and sew in using an upholstery needle and then put a waterproofing liquid over the patch and sewing. A hole created on its own is a warning to start looking for a new cover.

Exactly! What do you have to lose?
I can admit... as many of you know, I can run a sewing machine.
its saved me huge money over the years.

As usual.....

Temporary fix could be some iron on tape from a sewing store. You can get bigger patches of it. Do one on the outside, another on the inside facing each other. Pretty sure it even comes in different colors?

Not very strong though so don't push your luck trying to snug down the cover too much.

I was just thinking about this the other day...With the 4th of July just around the corner and some rowdy neighbors next to us, what can I expect to charge them for a new tarp after they burn holes in mine?

Get yourself a blue tarp for that time. Embers should be out before they burn all the way through.

I thought this thread was gonna go in an entirely different direction.

Go to walmart in fabric section and there is iron in fabric repair. Usually several color options. Iron heats up glue and it holds pretty well

That's what my Mom used to use to fix the knees in my Toughskin jeans.

Overtons Has Bimini Bandage that I used on an old Cover that I used to Cover my Cover! It worked pretty well on a Large Rip!
