I am currently using the oval wired remote control puck with a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-x395 and the remote does not always work. I sometime have to press the buttons on the remote several times for it to work, sometimes it works the first time. Anyway, I checked with Kenwood tech support and they tell me that the Kenwood KCA-RC35MR remote pictured below is compatible with my head unit. Is anyone using this remote and if so, how well does it work? I am hoping that the volume up and down buttons and the mute button work on the first press, every time. Is this the case?
