Was at a graduation party this weekend - cousin's family of a friend of our family. He used to have a 2006 XLV, then he moved to a Bu, then had to sell it to put his kids through college. At any rate, he's still got in his blood. He and his younger son just finished building this table right before the graduation party for one of their daughters.

Basically made it from scrap and a few old boards.

I want one! That thing was rock solid, very waterproof (he he) and could sit 8-10 no problem.

Nice work Richie!

Berg! You need to get your boat back in the water and take your cousin out boarding!!

You guys are both probably going through some kind of physical withdrawals...obviously! maybe we could do a TV special on the pain you guys have of not having a... I cant even bear to finish the sentence. Hell you guys need to drive down to NorCal and I'll take you guys out, more ballast!!!

BTW, cool looking table.

Those "old" boards are nicer than what we ride. Too bad he couldn't afford his 'bu anymore.

Pretty sure those were garage sale relics that they picked up cheap. I do admire the guy for not digging himself into a mountain of debt and putting his kids' education above all else. Last summer I almost said "ever wish you would have just kept the XLV?" but I bit my tongue and let it go.

Yes, suffering withdrawals. Boat is parked out in front at work today though - headed to upholstery shop for final fitting tonight!
