Thought I'd start another thread up on the wakeboard part. Been riding at 65 feet 23mph. Got a new rope that allowed me to go 60 feet and 21mph. Felt pretty good and was able to try more tricks. No luck on them though. What does everyone else ride at.

22-23 mph and 70-75 ft.

Ballast is gravity 3 plus 500 to 700 so 2500ish total.

If I get off work on time tomorrow ill shoot some video and take a few pics of bag placement. My son is doing the Tige my wake challenge so we will be shooting video every ride.

what's the biggest difference between 60-70ft. my rope goes out to 70 and that's where unusually ride. is 60ft more of a beginner level? I'm def beginner status so if 60 would be better im interested. I haven't rode in 2 years because if my knee surgeries but this weekend I strapped in and took a few sets early Sunday morning.

Narrower wake at 60. You can run slower speeds and still land wake to wake and stuff.

slower in my case is better for now!! the 5 spills I took weren't so gnarly.

Not only a more narrow wake but its easier to keep the wakes clean at shorter lengths without running a lot of bow weight to lengthen it out.

so what speed, length, and weight set up should i run to learn a BR? i CANNOT afford to blow a knee out, I have a very labor intensive job and need to be able to go to work...

For my boat 18 at 55ft only weight the boat on takeoff side and make a slight turn into the clean wake side to create a nice ramp. The landing area will be all washy. This is a very low impact method to teach the backroll.
