My family was here for a week. Each son brought a guest and we rented a house at the beach. This is SO different compared to living in Illinois. It was fantastic!

(This actually belongs in the May picture thread. Family was here 5/20 - 5/27. But just got around to sharing.)

We spent the morning at the Lake Norman stop of the Mastercraft Pro Tour. What a morning. Had lunch with a local moomba/supra dealer buddy and had a nice conversation with Rick Tinker, President of Skiers Choice. Definately an interesting conversation.

Wife had to pay for it but was able to talk the organizers into doing at a highly discounted rate. Usually 400 per person. We paid nowhere near that. Also got lunch, VIP bands for full access to riders, and tons of promoter stuff (shirts, hats). Was a great experience.

This my second Moomba sold 06 LSV,then ordered this at are winter boat show,love all the changes and improvements, I did Reuben for main color and Platinum for Hull and Deck,with Logo carpet,also got the kicker sub with the 700.5 amp it has enough thump for me right now and went with the Harpoon and XM 9`s from Exile,will be replacing the inboats soon with Exile also

We call and tell them what time we want the boat in the water and when we are done we clean the interior cover it and leave it in a wet slip and they put it up! Best service ever allows us to go get some quick runs anytime we want! If its available in your area I strongly recommend and it's actually cheaper than a wet slip with a boat lift in our area...

I was reading about a company in Cali that does this.
They wash the boat before they put it in the water, will fill it with fuel and ice your cooler too.

They've got one on Hayden island. I have friends that use it. They have 2 different fork lifts one big one and another REALLY big one. $150ish a month.

I have almost the same service. Boat is stored in a covered secured area. We call tell them, tell them what time to have the boat in the water. We show up, the boat is docked, fueled up and ready to go. When we leave, we dock the boat, clean it up if we want, but they wipe it down, make sure it is dry and replace the cover then park it in the covered secured area.

Best deal going. It would cost me more in gas a month towing than it costs to have the marina maintain it.

Plus, if my wife wants to go to the lake she doesn't have to worry about towing or launching the boat.

Nice! I'm trying to talk my wife into letting us store ours in dry dock like that. Port Royale Marina here does the same thing. It's pricey but it's cheaper than paying my truck note and gas for the truck. I'll put the boat in dry dock sell the truck and get a more fuel efficient car for my 90 mile round trip commute!

When we move to SC next month we're storing our Supra at a marina on the trailer so we don't have to tow each time, plus a lot of the developments down by Lake Wylie have HOA restrictions on parking boats in your driveway. If I can find a house with a garage that will fit the Supra that would be ideal but I doubt it since we're not having a house built.

Wylie has dry attack storage but no longer accept inboards. Have had to much trouble with the tracking fins. Looked into it a while back.

That's funny we got this one used (81 hours) at Dallas ski boats. You didn't take it back to them for and oil change and walk out with a new supra did you? Lol we wanted to buy a new mojo but this mobius already had all the goodies so we took! Absolutely love the boat!

Thanks, We live in Dallas but the boat is stored on Eagle Mountain Lake in Ft. Worth, Tx. We drive about 45-60 min to get to the lake...lame but its one of the better lakes around with a lot of wind blocks, unless you want to get killed on Lewisville lake by a drunk!

We did the dry stack storage because I did not want to trailer that far due to gas prices and wear on my truck. They don't do all the washing and filling up though but if you want to do that they have crates outside they will set it on for you. As for filling up the boat I don't trust the gas at the marina! I bring my own cans...if you go to the hardware store and buy you a clear vinyl hose 1'0D x 3/4'ID you can siphon the gas out and drain a 5 gallon can in under a min. All you do is cover the opening of the gas can with one hand and push the side of the can in to create the suction make sure the can is higher that the tank on the boat and your good to go.

It has been in the works for a couple of months. Promoted within my company.

We are looking in the Murrietta, CA area. It looks like the best option for local water will be Lake Elsinore. We plan on many trips to the Colorado River.

We sold our house the first day it hit the market now we are scrambling for a place to live in CA. We close on our house here July 5th.

It is all happening pretty fast.

So we had an awesome three day weekend on the water but are pretty beat now. Saturday we had some friends meet us for a day out on the river on the LSV, sunday we hitched a ride on our dealer SA350 Demo boat (sick boat). And monday was back to the LSV for Wake the World Houston. While out on the SA Sunday we had a 45% chance of rain but it looked like it was clearing up so we rolled the dice and launched. We all had a gotten a set in behind the boat decided to head back to the dock to pick up a late arrival when it got dark and the thunder began to roll. I was driving so started scooting back down to the river to try and get to the bridge to take cover but we were too far, started to rain and the the drops got larger and more painful so we backed it to idle and had an emergency bimini deployment. We took refuge as mother nature decided to water test supra vision and all the other fancy gizmos on the SA.

Yeah. It cooled down and was perfect at night. We will be doing it again for sure. Need some blackout curtains for the tent next year though. Run comes up too early.
Definately a nice, well maintained campground. We had a blast.

Bob, I know that water is COLD! I lived on American Lake on Ft. Lewis and that water was COLD......you gota be in a wetsuit or maybe a dry suit to get in there. However, it is is breath taking to look up see bald eagles and Mt Rainer as you are motoring down the lake.

Thanks for all the compliments. Its been a slow work in progress. Its looking good so far. Now im having the tint cut next week and i have to find a shop inside where i(my bud) can install it. I like it allot better without the graphics, to me it has a cleaner line to it. AGREE????

Thankfully this was discovered in the driveway and not on the freeway doing 70.

Pretty sure it got stressed too much being moved around with a forklift at one of the many shops it's lived in over the last few months. Backing in a few nights ago I heard a loud "TING" sort of snap. Jumped out and looked around - didn't see anything out of sorts. The left side fender looked low but I was backing up an incline at an angle so didn't think twice.

BERG! WTF!! With all the crap you've been through!! I'm gonna cry!

I usually don't go out on holiday weekends, but it was 105 around here all weekend, and I have two of my boats (out of four) up for sale. I took interested parties up in both boats, a 91 Ski Sanger and the '02 Mobius. The Sanger ran PURR-FECT and the drug deal (that's what it looked like) took place in the parking lot.

Two hours later drop the Moomba in the lake, which was getting REAL busy at the ramp with every rookie by now, and after explaining to a friend of my wife's brother (I think that is correct...) that yeah the rear deck needs some sewing, the Perfect Pass is one year old, the complete stereo system, bimini, on board charger, ACR, tower lights blah blah blah work perfect etc etc etc. We head over to skiers cove which I thought would be swamped by boarders, tubers and jetskiers just to find everyone just kind of hanging out. I tell my buddy to get my board down, I'm gonna show the potential buyer how the PP works, and then came the "WTF!". Turns out, not only didn't the PP work, there is something wrong with the throttle cable -- thought for a minute that we would need to be towed in, anyway we made it back to the shore at a max speed of 35 and I told the potential buyer that I would fix everything and we would go back out at a later date.

I guess that yellow boat just wants to stay with me! and I have no pics to add to this thread and this is the second run in a row that I did NOT get to board. I'm moving to either Austin TX or Florida to board all year around!!!!!

LBJ was great!!! Constant level so no worries about the drought. Clean Colorado River water. We stayed in a house close to where the Colorado and LLano rivers converge. 5 minute boat ride up into the Colorado and we found great water at most times of the day. We had 9 teenagers with us and I was able to get at least 2 of them up by 7am everyday for some riding. But even at 2pm we where able to find decent water.

We where there from Sunday through Friday. I'm sure the weekends are much tougher to find good water.
