I have heard multiple times on here that you should grease the steering cable or steering box at the rudder and that there is a grease fitting back there. I have looked and looked and NEVER seen a grease zerk so I was wondering if someone could snap a picture and post it to show me where it is. Thanks.

I looked for it on my boat when doing preseason maintenance and didn't see a fitting either. I can't remember if there was a cap on top. If so it probably comes off with a screwdriver. I should have looked closer

I think the zerk on the rudder disappeared around '06. My centurion had a tube under the steering wheel to lube the cable, my Supra does not.

I never greased the steering cable or anything on my 08 and it was silky smoth even when i sold it last Oct.
Only thing i have really seen or read on here is dont let the end of the cable sit under water for long periods of time, like on a lift, in the water, or trailered.

I feel like my wheel has alot of slop in it. like while driving in the water i can move it 2-3" either direction before i really encounter any resistance....is that normal???

NO when i drove your boat last year in Texas, my first thought was this doesnt feel like my LSV. Your cable has a lot of play, or the steering rack under the dash has a lot of play.
