want to pick up a promariner..jfox told me to grab the prosport 20 but i also see a member running the prosport 12..does it really matter or should i get the 20?

depends on how many and what type of batteries. the 20 plus is a three bank charger and that is what i use since i run three batteries

12= 12 amp charger, 20 = 20 amp charger.
Another one I picked up refurbished on eBay, got a pro 20 3 bank for a good deal, I was originally going to get a 20 two bank.

so i decided to buy the XS xp2000 battery ( to add to west marine my crank batt and my other acc.battery) and the prosport 20 charger

just so you know, if you connect 2 batteries together, it's recommended to make sure they are the same kind/brand/age. you can have different kinds if they are separated by an acr.
example, 2 stereo batteries wired together should be same and 3rd start battery can be different if separated by switch.
if you connect a new batter and an old one together, the new one will settle in where the old one is in power/condition.

thank you sand for making me spend more money haha..order the second XP2000 batt and a kenwood KMR-700U radio..i want to get all this in before next weekend so i can be on the water and see how it all works
