What year were those prices? 1971?

I with you pat, have not seen those prices for bar beers in 20 plus years
All nice alternatives to BMC, but you're right on the prices. Maybe from the grocery store, but those are all upscale beers when served.

Well, my local Wing Stop has a selection of $1 and $2 bottles all the time. Kinda nice. Occasionally they'll have the Toasted Lager or something kind of interesting. Sometimes its Rock or Pabst though.

Pabst is an honest beer at an honest price. A classic in my world.

Why aren't local beers distributed large scale?
Because they aren't good.

Sometimes the brewers just don't have the capacity. Look at Yeungling. It was local for 150 years or something then went national-- more breweries so more capacity.

Enjoying a few cold Miller Lites myself this evening after a full, fun day on the lake. I'll add Yuengling to the list.

If its free, cold and, gold, I'll drink it.
I have what you call an eclectic taste for beer, that or I am not picky.
Great thread BTW!
