Not sure how I feel about the welding job, they have good penetration but look like crap. I haven't welded stainless but I'd be embarrassed if they were mine..

How about it? Have you had it in the water yet? I'm most interested in noise reduction. I have an '11 LSV and I'm hoping I can get the engine noise down so I can hear my stereo at 65' - 70'.

Yes..

We've had the boat out several times and it's noticeably quieter in the boat and behind.

Now we can talk normal levels within boat while surfing or boarding whereas before we'd be talking loud and saying "huh?" all the time. While surfing I can talk to the surfer from the drivers seat with a raised voice. Before you could barely understand one another even shouting/screaming at them from the back seat...Guess now I need to be careful what I say... hehehe...

For my radio/pandora I have a gps speed volume control app and before the FEA It was either too loud or to soft. The last time out with the FEA it worked perfectly, there's still a lot of engine noise so there's still noise, but with the FAE there's a lot less...

Sounds like a nice stereo upgrade. Why blast more DB when you can just quiet the engine noise.

Nice glad you like it, I got mine a couple weeks back but havnt installed it yet.

I got mine friday. They didn't send the struts that connect to the platform. There going to send it monday and include the horizontal mounting hardware at no charge. A little disappointed that something is missing with the money spent on it but I guess it happens. Welds look good. I have the new stainless finish (or lack of it).

What make this quieter as opposed to just turning down the exhaust tips? Seems you could just make your own from home depot parts?
