Dang it! I got held up at the office and didn't get down there until 5:45.

I did get to meet a few other guys today from the board. It was nice seeing Steven again & meeting Harrison. Hope we can all get out on the water soon!

I had a chance to walk around the show a bit tonight and will try and get some pics, but it looked like there were more wakeboats than ever. Atlanta Marine has 2 SA's. One is a 350 that is murdered out. Black w/ black Supra letters, tinted windows and red LEDs behind the chrome grills. It is SICK. The other is a Worlds 450. Bad azz!

They brought a 242, 22V and 21V. All with the metal flake and it really looks nice in person.

My favorite, the Mojo, is represented along with 2 new LSV's. One of the LSVs is black with the green accent and looks fantastic.

Lots of billet across the aisle in the MC booth, a killer G23, some nice Centurions and a huge number of Malibus. They have the entire MXZ lineup in the both with the 20, 22 & 24. Bu also had one of the worst looking boats. It was a green metalflake and black boat that looked like split pea soup.

Let's see some pics! I really wanted to go to ATL show this year. Oh well. Got two other minitrips planned in the other direction the next few weeks. Maybe next year I'll be shopping for a boat and actually have a reason to go.

Just got back from the ATL boat show and I was impressed. I noticed that there were no Tige boats there at all. I really wanted to take a look at the new surf platform on the bottom of the boat. I don't know exactly what they call it but its like an extension to the hull that makes a tunnel. Looked pretty cool on youtube.

I was very impressed with the LSV at the boat show this year, I am really on the fence on the Mojo. I really like the idea and the layout of the boat but it really looked cheap to me. I understand its a budget wakeboat but it really looks stripped down. I also understand trying to maximize the interior room but the rear bench seat in my opinion looks terrible. I don't like how you can see a big air gap on either side of the V-Drive box.

On all the models I really don't like the interior. Here is the issue I have with it, I think its too boxy and uninviting. I think the back rests being strait up and down look and feel very uncomfortable. I think that the spotter seat also looks very bad not too. I think it looks cheap and uncomfortable. I really like the layout of my 07 LSV. I like the spotter seat back and think it is a little more inviting.

Now that I have bashed the brand I love the look of the boats, power plant, simplicity of controls, and the wake. I think that the colors (especially the green and black combo) looks awesome. I like the newer towers and bimini options.

I think that for the same money a little more time could have gone into the layout and design of the interior without costing any more in materials. I would be willing to take a few inches out of the interior for a little more comfort.

I mentioned in another post that the show seemed to close well for SC with a better mix of Supras and Moombas sold this year than last when Moomba dominated. The SA brought a lot of attention to the booth. They had a murdered out SA350 sitting at the entrance to the booth and a SA450 Worlds sitting up on a pedestal that really stopped folks in their tracks.

the show is a big one and I only took the time to get pics of the wakeboats and didn't have time to get to the MC booth. My first stop was Natique. At the 10,000 Lakes surf contest in Minneapolis, MN last season the tow boat for that event was a G23. We thought it was an incredible boat from a looks, fit & finish standpoint but the wave wasn't very good at all. With the announcement of the NSS system, it might have been a contenter for our next ride so I stopped in early Sunday morning to take a look. Two sales guys were lounging on a couch. I introduced myself and explained who I was and why I was at the show. Shared with them my experience in MN and that we'd like to get behind a NSS-equipped boat when they got one in.

I started to look at the boats and take a few pics when one of the salesmen looks over and says, "Ah, I'm going to ask you to stop taking pics and leave." I couldn't freaking believe it! I asked why and he replied that he didn't think his management would like having the competition taking pics. I replied that his management would probably be more upset to learn that he'd po'd a potential customer and I thanked him for ultimately saving me a ton of coin.

So, this is the only pic I'm going to put up of the Natique.

Didn't get that kind of treatment out of any of the other guys/brands at the show. Singleton Marine won the award for the best booth display. These pics are just of the wakeboat side. They have a double booth and the other side is the Regals, Cobalts and 'toons. They moved a ton of boats at the show.

This Axis seemed to catch the eye of the young guys. I'm not 100% sold on the digitized camo look for my boat. It will be interesting to see how this brand evolves as Adam McCall has left Malibu. He was the driving force for this line.

There were 3 Centurions at the show. They throw me off a bit as some of the innovation such as their touch screen seems great but they combo it with almost retro looking panels in other parts of the boat. It's most notable to me on the dash.

Interestingly functional, but visually strange. The grey, carbon fiber look in the 233 was better than the blue in the 244. They have a master key under the throttle lever so there is push button start/stop to the left of the wheel, but I don't get why they didn't do all that like 'bu and have two same-sized screens flanking the wheel. IMO, that would have looked much better with the speedo & tach above.

Metal flake is definitely in for '13

Too bad on the Nauti guys. Bunch of tards.

While sitting in the G23 in Portland, AWS offered to let me have a peak at a G25 they had in a private showroom somewhere in back at the show. One of their sales' guys personal/demo boats. I politely declined since I wasn't a legit buyer but it would have been cool to see.

It just blows me away they would even sell boats without trailers, i understand the point of having water front property but still, at some point you will need that trailer LOL.

I know MB is famous for doing these sales tricks as well, tell you the boat is 53K and then you find out ohh wait i have to buy a trailer too? LOL Thats another 5K lol

had I not helped to sell that boat on Sunday (which was a ton of fun b/c Rick Tinker's son and I tag teamed on this one), I would have tried to make a deal on it myself. I should have lit it up prior to taking the pics, too. They installed red LED behind the grills on the front and in the rear. Guys from my generation kept referring to it as the Knight Rider boat. It was a SA350 - black gel w/ black decals & limo tint. Interior was a wonderful combo of platinum & greys.

For those that join us at the Flint River Jam, this boat will be there!

Well certainly I don't think they should mislead anyone about what is included in the price, but I totally get no trailer. My Dad doesn't have one for his boat, and hasn't needed it yet in 9 years. If I would have ordered a custom new one instead of buying a leftover, I would have deleted the trailer myself. My boat sits on a bunk at the marina 365 and dealers do the routine servicing on the lift. if it has to come out, they have a trailer. It's not only an extra $5k plus, it's also a pain in the butt to store the thing.

I also saw that blacked out supra and it was awesome. The supra is an amazing looking boat. I really liked the all black LSV with the green stripe on the moomba side.

Singleton is also a great company from an advertisement standpoint. They are always first class at the boat shows. Every Wednesday on Lake Lanier they have "wet Wednesdays" where they have their sponsored riders come out and wakeboard for the crowd. They block off sunset cove and its a really cool thing to watch.

As for the nautique guys, I think the issue is the dealership that represents them in the Atlanta area. They are sold through Marine Max. They are a shady bunch over there. I love the nautique brand and actually signed paperwork to buy a used super air 210 from them. I went back and forth with the sales guy and came to an agreed price of 31k for this boat. I went and got a loan and when I can back to get it their finance guy had a bunch of BS in the price and it ended up coming out at 38k. I told him that we agreed to the 31k out the door and their finance guy told me that he wouldn't let the boat go for that price.

After that i got in my car and drive about 1 mile down the rd to Atlanta Marine and met with Jeff and bought my 07 LSV. Marine Max called me a few days later and asked when I would be back to get the super air 210. I told them that they refused to sell it to me at the agreed price and I bought another boat.

I also agree that the Centurion dash is ugly. It is definitely a retro look if thats what their going for.

I had a blast at the boat show this weekend! It was great seeing Drew and everyone from ATL Marine again too and wow. The boats have come a nice ways from when I purchased mine in 09. Still contemplating a trade in, but then again, staying reserved with it too because I'm happy with my boat, would just like a change. Gotta say though. The seat vinyl in the new LSV feels fantastic compared to mine. Either way, had an absolute blast and looking forward to summer now and definitely looking forward to hanging out with Drew and some new folks and hitting the lake! I'll bring the Bobber Cooler! (not filled with Coke and Sprite, I can tell you that much!)

Todd,

My pleasure! Glad you checked in here. There is a lot of great info for you to learn from a great group of folks.

Once you get your colors figured out, you will need to do a screen capture and post up a pic or you shall be ridiculed! If you're undecided, you can even post up a poll with options and let the folks on here help (that's what I did).
