Barely won yes but any time a team with a 50+ ranked recruiting class takes down a team with a top 10 recruiting class and triple the athletic budget it is a big deal. And you're right, it doesn't happen that often so when it does we hold on to and cherish it and make funny Hitler youtube videos about it because lets face it, longhorns are nazis lol

I never figured out what everybody saw in that guy -- hasn't he pretty much failed where ever he has been? He rode Pete Carroll's coattails for a few good years at USC and then big failures with Oakland, Tennessee and now USC. But you are probably right, someone will hire him and he will land on his feet once again!!

Marcus was playing on an injured knee all of November so i doubt Texas had any film on his running.
But your horns know about playing injured, I think you had 6 starters suffer season ending injuries. Class program, nothing but respect for Brown and Texas!

was a tough season but I bleed orange. there were a lot of Duck fans in the house thou. went out to eat and grab a few cold ones after the game and sat next to three dudes who flew in from Oregon to watch game. pretty good fan base. we sure hope to be back strong in 2014. until next year gentleman, throw them HORNS UP \^/

Oklahoma upset Alabama
Texas A&M came back against Duke
And UT lost!

Couldn't really ask for a better bowl season. Now let's hope OSU pulls out a comeback against Mizzou. Go Pokes!!

Yep been here 4 yrs. however, pay attention to how all of our old coaches did when they abandoned us. Petrino, John l smith, and next is Charlie.
I hope he stays with us if not you should be in good hands considering he is a master recruiter of south Florida.

Best part about the bowl season is we no longer have to listen to the "AJ McCarron possibly the greatest college QB ever" BS. He was thoroughly exposed in the OK game. He had several opportunities to put the team on his back and carry them to a win and could not deliver. He has benefited from the best O-line in the NCAA for the past several years, plus great WR's and RB's and outstanding defense. Let's see if he even gets drafted now. I'd rather have Murray or Shaw or just about any other SEC QB.

Lots of disappointment in our house following Alabama's loss. Day of the game I was 800 miles from home but could still feel the gloom that set in on my youngest son. Don't think he will fully recover until start of 2014 season. Anyway, congratulations to Florida State on a great season. Now, whip Auburn and win that championship title!

Well, done. So, what's next? Saban finds a real QB? We'll see. Mark my words. TX should have gone after Mark Dantonio. Charile can recruit S. Fla. but he needs credibility in TX. With A&M, Tech, TCU and everybody else feeling strong they will need a solid plan to get the TX guys in fold. We'll see.

In the meantime, Congrats to the FSU Seminoles! And also Congrats to the Auburn Tigers for making the biggest statement of the year about who gets there. Nothing to be ashamed of with that performance.
