As the title states I'm looking for a full time maintenance supervisor/planner/scheduler. This position reports directly to me. Great company. Pension, stock options, 401k matching, bonus, health insurance etc. Job is located in Houston area.

Job Description (intranet)
ACTIVITIES
• Assigns job resources to meet work demands according to schedule
• Reports the progress of the daily
• Assist in collecting Data for KPI
• Reassign personnel when delays occurs
• Initiate the work permit procedure
• Check if all scheduled job sequences have been completed
• Field verify completed work & returns equipment to operations
• Issue Purchase Requisitions as needed
• Provides input into the development of the maintenance strategy on those issues dealing with PPM
• Insures that scheduled services are entered into the SAP system
• Serves as the subject matter expert
• Tracks compliance of completion of PPM tasks
Updates the SAP system for new equipment from projects.
• Adds, identifies and builds spare parts lists in SAP systems per the maintenance strategy.
• Sets net capacity for the crafts based on information about the related available labor
• Assists in the update of the jobs to be included in the “daily and weekly schedule”
• Build the “daily and week schedule”
• Initiates material movement for scheduled jobs
• Identifies resource leveraging opportunities
• Communicates with operations on scheduling status during daily communication meeting that he leads.
• Leads backlog meetings
• Monitors/reviews performance measures
• Leads scheduling improvement efforts
• Schedule contractor work in the plant, ensure contractors' workmanship, approve contractor time, verify accuracy of invoices


Profile/Education/Experiences/Skills (Intranet)
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Must have knowledge of SAP Maintenance and MS Office tools
2. Must have knowledge of Plant Safely Policies and procedures
3. Ability to effectively communicate and give work direction to others.
4. Must be able to multi-task in a fast pace environment

Youd be surprised, the pay for this job could support two brand new cars, a moomba, and a house, and we've gotten like 3 applicants, 2 of them being completely unqualified.

i heard that, not sure i am qualified either tho, never really had to manage much except for running land cement crews for a few months during the moratorium. other than that i just have to manage myself at work

If i was looking to move to TX id look into this position. Not sure what the real pay is but its not like housing is real expensive in Texas. You still pay about as much as you do here but your homes are 50 to 75% bigger for the money LOL
