Radio Problems

My 2005 Xlv's radio tuner died three week ago. I have the KDC-225 cd/mp3 model and when I talked to RT as few weeks ago he said that the radios that they had been using were giving them a few problems. Further more the dealer in TX said they had been having a rash of problems.

So anybody else having radio problems and how do they SC make 6 speakers run off a four speaker radio? Does'nt it make the radio work harder than needed?

Actually, I don't think it works harder. It just splits the wattage up between the speakers. I put a 500w sony explode amp and wired it up left and right (the way you would normally wire up one) driving the 6 boat speakers on the front channel. Then wired up the tower speakers on the back channel. I was able to set the gain higher on the 6 speaker set up. It really fills the boat up w/ sound.
