Well after a fantastic demo, I think I am sold on the XLV. Here is the break out. I would appreciate some feedback. I am also considering buying an 06' in Feb, but in my configuration it amounts to an additional $3000 in 06' price increases.

05' XLV - $38,370

Options:

Heater - $550
Tonneau - $195
Cockpit cover - $550
340 HP Engine - $2495
Towe - $75
Tower Mirror - $295
Wake Racks - $395
Gavity Bags - $650
Wake Plate - $795
Perfect Pass - $1095
4ch Amp - $395
AM/FM MP3 - $550
Tower Speakers x4 - $995

Total: $47,405

Agreed Upon Price: $44,194

The agreed upon price includes the first service, freight, and all registration and setup fees. Plus 3 year extended boat show warranty.

This amounts to $3244 off msrp. Which I think is an excellent price.

The configured price for the 06' was $51,881 for which he offered $48,881 (-$3000).

Are you headed into winter or slightly cooler days on the water?

There is probably a month left with wet suits.

If you're considering buying the '06, I'd hold off on the '05 this late in the year. If you come back in Feb. with the possibility of buying the '06 and the '05 is still sitting there you might be able to work an even better deal. Great boat and good luck with whatever you decide.

I actually was leaning towards an 06' until I saw the factory price increases. Between the discount on the 05' and price increase on the 06's there is a $6k difference.

So I think the 05' would be worth it, for $3k under msrp.

I signed the paperwork last night.

The deal added up to over a $6000 difference between an new 05' and new 06'. I ended up getting $3750 off MSRP for the 05'.

And they gave me cost on my new wakeboard, lines, helmet, bindings, and coastguard requireds.

Congrats.........I personally think you made a good decision. I'm very happy w/ my choice in the Outback. All major items are quality. If you like tinkering, the rest is a matter of taste and can be upgraded as you see fit.
.
Hope this helps
