hey any one know were that temp sending unit is, is it on top of the intake mainifold

What year and model motor are you referring to, (carb.(310 hp) tbi.(320 hp) mpi.(325 hp) mpi(340 hp) or older carb. 240-265 hp? On the newer GM blocks, it is located under and port of the thermostat housing, and is detectable by a single brown wire lead that is either nutted or has a push-on connecter on it, this is for a gauge reading only. On the fuel injected models, there is a 2 wire (yellow and black) sensor installed on the top port side of the intake manifold that relays temp. to the e.c.m., and has the single wire sending unit. What issues are you experiencing? Keep us posted. Brian Raymond

the temp gauge is stuck on 260 and i im not sure how to fix it, i feel alot more comfrotable with a working temp gauge
