Winterizing

I have an Outback with a 5.7 L MPI motor. I was goiing to be winterizing the boat soon, but was soon how many steps were involved. Can anyone out there let me know what all would have to be done?

First off, download the Indmar Maintenance Manual from their web site. This will give you you exact instructons. There are several things and other please chime in if I missed something.

1. Fill your fuel tank up and add fuel stabalizer.
2. Remove drain plug to allow any extra water to drain.
3. Disconnect the quick disconnect hose behind the engine. (See Indmar Manual)
4. Disconnect the ingoing and outgoing hose to the impeller.
5. There is a bolt on both sides of the engine block (See indmar Manual). Drain the water from this.
6 Spray fog oil into the throttle body and on the spark plugs to prevent moisture.
7. Change the oil.

Thanks for the reply and the update on the Indamr site. Is there any need to run any antifreeze through the pick up or raw water pump or into the maifolds?

Not for me, I live in North Carolina and have my boat only in freshwater lakes. If you live up North or have a closed cooling system it may differ. Check your manual.

Is there a particular brand of fuel stabalizer that most agree on? I am new at this to and want to make sure I get the right stuff. Thanks!
