The wholes in the dash panel on my 07 Mobius LS have worn a bit and now an number of the gauges are following are falling out through the inside. I bought some bevels to go around them to make wider, but they aren't wide enough. Anyone else having this problem? Any idea where I can get some wider bevels to stop this from happening?

You have any pics showing what is going on.

Yeah, pics would be nice...the gauges are just held in by a bracket on the back of them...and the bracket just presses against the backside of the dash according to how tightly screwed down the bracket itself is. Check the back side of the gauges that are giving you trouble and make sure that the brackets are screwed down tightly. Also make sure that the legs of the brackets are bent outward enough such that they "catch" the dash and aren't coming through the hole with the gauge.

Not sure what would work and still look good.

It is definitely that the holes are too big. There has to be some kind of bevels that can go around the gauges to keep them from falling through the holes. Changing the entire dash? I really don't want to do that if I don't have to. I don't know if I would even dare attempt that myself.

Make some LED rings like Ian has done for the cupholders

I guess I don't understand how the holes could be too big. Have they always been too big, or is it something that has happened over the years?

Maybe the gauges shrunk?

Yeah, that's it! The gauges shrunk! *LOL* It looks like the holes were originally cut too big. Its only on a couple of gauges: depth and tach. When I bought the boat it didn't come with a depth gauge. So I had the dealer install a depth. Its the worse out of all of them. It has fallen right through the dash so it was just dangling. I actually found some bevels at http://www.livorsi.com/catalog/bezels.htm#fl_bezel and installed them. But I need something even bigger - that's how big the hole is. Any ideas?

Wolfeman, what do you mean by LED rings?

Ian has posted up how he made some LED light rings fot the cupholders in this thread:

I was thinking you might be able to do something similar to create a custom bezel that would prevent the gauges from falling thru the dash.

The holes are TOO BIG !! I have this problem also and it is nothing more than shotty workmanship !! I found that fat black o rings worked for a while anyway !!

My volt gauge has done the same thing. The edge of the material that the dash is made from has cracked and a become worn out. This has allowed that gauge to pull thru due to any tension on the wires. Fixing the issue is on the winter to do list. Not really sure if I'll do the complete dash or just fix it as it comes up on any other gauges. Any good fixes would be appreciated.
