I hear ya. Ours goes into storage in a few weeks and wont be out untill mid may, long time. I usually shut down my boat thoughts and get back into my other hobbies like speaker building and DJ'ing to make the time go by.

Nine months here. Around the first of July it comes out but too busy doing other fun things. I do put the majority of my vacation time on the water and it is nice to not have rain for three months and maybe longer this year. Good boating is still there at 85 degree water, 67 degrees in the water, no wind and plenty of smoke in the air. I see the leaves are starting to change so cooler temps are right around the corner.

Last outing of the year, on the local river

Water's getting cold. First time on a board without fins. Boy does it ride way different. Really hard to get an edge.

My favorite kind! A mbit salty yesterday, but not too bad, just depends on the day.

We'd definitely choose the Trinity if it was closer to us. It's 2 hours for us through that crazy I45 construction. SBR is less than an hour down some easy country roads.

It's a 139 with 11-12 Kai closed toe bindings. Pop is almost uncontrollable huh? I don't seem to have that problem, maybe I'm riding it wrong? I've got a buddy with a one and I hear the pop is insane on that board.

Could be the boat I was riding behind too. He has an x-2 and loads 4500 lbs of ballast in there. You hit the wake and its like you hit a brick wall. I totally wasn't expecting it. So the first time I went to go w2w it exploded me so hard that my feet immediately went over my head and I landed wayyyyyyy out in the flats. Could have been a combination of the board and the wake.

Hey Beat and Boone, dont be hatting to much on that Rain we are getting.

Trust me we need it to fill our lakes back up.

Them boys in the south like Texas will take our rain any day but ill be honest i wouldnt change our rain because we never have to skip nice days on the water due to ramps being closed for a lack of water.

In those pics i posted of Cali, that lake is 130ft low now in some parts its 900ft but its 130ft low right now.

I drove over Shasta and you could several ramps 50ft+ out of the water, the entire valley was dry. The main lake had huge islands i never seen before because the water was so low.

I am short sighted. All I know is that the boat season ended for me and I am angry about that.

They can truck in water to fill our lakes and rivers. Haha

Took the boat up to Lake Somerville yesterday to burn off some more gas before old man winter hits. Snapped this shot and thought those who enjoy mother nature might enjoy. Every October the white pelicans can be found on the south end of the lake on this little island. It's pretty cool seeing that many pelicans in one spot. A smaller group can usually be found on the NE side of the lake, too. The weather was fantastic and the whole lake was glass. It was a good day to be on the water!

It's true, Ron. In autumn, Lake Somerville turns into a beautiful lake. It's a nice blue color but there is not a lot of visibility through the water - you won't be seeing your toes when in the water.

Here are a couple more October pelican shots taken in previous years. I know I'm carryin' on like it was a flock of Bald Eagles roosting on the lake but, hey, pelicans are cool, too!

October video thread... here's another one... I'm so relieved this year. In 2010 we bought the Outback. It was fall, and we got to ski behind it a few times before winter, (20 times) then in the spring skied a bit more. but then the damn Texas drought hit again, and we lost the Summer of 2011. Prior to summer 2011, I had not skied well behind the OB, and was beginning to think I made a poor choice. We've put over 100 hours on the boat this year, and I learned how to ski.. again.. I've done better this summer than I've done in the last 5 years. The OB is a good boat!

Finally my left ankle is healing nicely and am able to function again almost 100%. I do appreciate being able to walk again without crutches. It was hard to sit around all summer here with record heat and couldn't go out. We did make up for it this Sept and Oct at our local lake and a fall trip. Still would like to get a newer Moomba or modify this one so the tower will fold to the rear of the boat with one person. Arizona is so nice....

Here's photos of my baby in the Mizzou Homecoming Parade on Saturday morning. I towed my boat down there to tow it in the parade for my old collegiate water ski and wakeboard team. Every year we tow a boat and pull "skiers" and "wakeboarders" through the parade. My tower speakers and mic came in very handy for the chants "M-I-Z Wa-Ter-Ski!" and "This float floats!"

At one point while I was wakeboarding we passed 3 alligators, two on the bank and one halfway on the bank, within a 100 yard stretch. They were each in excess of 10 ft and the two on the bank made their way into the river as we passed and the one half way thrashes a little.

Then later on in the day while I was surfing we passed another one about 10 ft or so. I've never seen a live gator out there before and today we saw 4!

Berge, we theorized that due to the colder water that they need to sit on the bank in the sunlight to regulate their body temp. In the summer when the water is warm they just hang out under water

Droped the boat off in Eureka Montana Monday.

600 miles of rain and being towed behind my diesel was not nice to look at. I was embarrassed at how dirty she was but the owner opted to not let me get it wraped.

I uncovered her and the inside was as clean as when i left the house. WOW that Evoluction cover is awesome

I did wrap the top eadge with sylaphane wrap. This helped creat a better seal so water wouldnt creep under the edges as easy.

Oh he did, i warned him it was going to look bad LOL. I understand his point for not covering it, he wanted to see the inside to make sure it was really as nice as i told him. I spent all day Sunday cleaning it, reconditioned the interior with Malco, sprayed and scrubed the carpets with Resolve, polished and waxed all the fiberglass inside and out.

MB review. Tiny sun deck. If you like chilling and laying out on the sun deck, go elsewhere. Now due to the tiny sun deck the cabin is pretty large for a 21 ft boat. Bow is absolutely enormous on this thing, tons of space. Factory subwoofer is behind the drivers seat in the rear facing molded seat back (much like the supras rear facing seat back for the bench seat behind the driver) and it sounds like poo. The pure very is simply awesome, 1800 lbs of weight in 30 secs and your lockers can still hold boards with ballast full. Switches are low in quality, looked very cheap. Fit and finish of seat cushions was very good and density was comfortable. Boat has eznet type thing installed on the rear locker doors from the factory that look neat and are very functional. Boat has huge freeboard way more than my LSV. Wake board wake was super clean with full ballast @ 22 mph. Probably would still be clean around 20 or so and was not very weight sensitive. Surf wake was good with 2100 lbs but the trim plate was no working correctly so it was a little finicky.

Boat has about a million cup holders, which I liked

I have a friend that's gonna test drive one of those today. He has a B52 V3 team right now and it was depressing to go out behind it and find that I couldn't freeride with stock ballast. (I think it only has 500 on each side and 1100 center). I am not the greatest surfer on the planet, but with any decent wave (even the one on my DIRECT DRIVE with 1350 ballast) I can throw in the rope almost instantly and freeride forever. Not so on the B52.

I will be curious to see if he gets the tomcat...

Water temp was down to 60 where we were riding. However, I'm feeling pretty lucky as we have a spot available to us that has 20 to 50 foot depths year round. And the ramps I use on the Columbia river really never close or get too shallow.

Air temp was around 50 at noon, but got into the 60's by the time we were done.

Getting more confident on the surf board. Decided to drop a knee and ride on it like that for a bit.

One of the gals on the boat works at a local dance club where they have bottle service for the VIP tables. They had a player from the Portland Trailblazers there on Saturday night that threw down for a $750 bottle of Dom that they barely even touched. She recorked it and brought it with her. So, when we got back to the houseboat, we used it to celebrate her finally getting up for the first time on a wakeboard!

My wife moddeling the Dom! It even had a battery powered lumenescent label on it!

Yeah, that's a Mojo that I have never seen leave the storage and I'm there about 3 times a week. Fun times backing in with him on the left and a concrete pole on the right!

That color combo is the most popular around here. There are two in my storage unit alone. The other is my buddy Mike's (Thunderman). He is just down and across from me.

Wow - that's an old one. But yes, a heavily Mcguyvered 12x25 carport. 14'10" between the houses, so it fit easily but wasn't ideal. If you look down the right side you'll see the legs are missing. I had an exhaust shop bend me some S pipes so I could run them over flush against the house. Now there's no posts in the way. Also raised the whole thing about a foot.

Ha yes, guilty! I did bribe my poor, lonely, single at-the-time neighbor lady into letting me remove the fence and have her side yard. But that was in exchange for removing a tree, landscaping, and completely redoing her front lawn that turned out beautiful - even better than mine at the time. Which she then promptly quit watering and let die and turn to sh!t within a few months.

Yeah weather is still nice for sure. Water is definitely cooling off due to the chilly nights. Water temp in Saturday was 75. Still felt pretty good. Unfortunately with work schedules and too much going on right now I won't be able to use it as much and the rest of the fam are a bunch of whimps and won't come out on the cooler days/water temps. I have another buddy who will still be out so I'll just tag-a-long on his XStar.

Stole the wife's truck and brough the boat with me to work. Was off work, changed, moved the boards into the truck, and drove to the launch in 15 minutes. Did a leasurely solo launch and had the boat tied up and the truck parked before I'd been off work 30 minutes.

Under 15 minute boat ride to our favorite spot. 1 wake set and 2 surf sets in before darkness was starting to set in. Water temp was 60 degrees still. Air temp today was a high of 65. by the time the sun went down, I was wearing a light jacket and had the bow walkthrough blocked off and was using the heater on my feet.

Was very nice of her as i was the only one surfing, she had someplace to be later on and did not want to get wet.

no wetsuites, my life jacket on the board, wife and kiddo's life jackets on the back seat. think the high was about 85, maybe 87. water was still kinda warm.

He is a Rinkers boat world team rider and can really throw down. Was a blast to watch him ride and it's unreal how much air he can get behind my boat when I sometime struggle getting w2w haha. Didn't take any picture of it tho, kind of wish I didn't forget the camera.

Haha they don't really swarm, in fact during the summer months when the water is warm enough that they don't need to sun you hardly ever see them. Early spring and when you get into the fall is when you start running into them up on the banks trying to warm up. They don't bother you but it makes you wonder where they go when you see them crawl off the bank and sink...

the air was mid-upper 60's, not sure on the water but probably in mid 60's. Definitely a little on the cool side while you are cruising around hence the shirts. If felt great if you were just hanging out on the boat or beach. Most of us didn't use wet suits but it definitely took your breath away to get it. We did pull out the dry suit for a few people who didn't want to get cold. I have been there as late as mid December with the guys and with drysuits it is spectacular down there. You literally have the lake to yourself, nothing but glass all day long.

Well, I almost believed the weather forecast of cloudy, not to warm, and even some rain. BUT, when sunshine hit my face, we decided we needed to chance it. Especially since I had my son for the weekend and family boating time is so amazing.

I surfed and surfed and surfed... And when the water looks like this, I even finished the day with a wakeboard set. water's down to around 56/57, and we're gonna see a couple of nights in the 30's this week so I'm sure it'll get even colder. (wishing I had a drysuit).

Then we stopped by a friend's houseboat. He wasn't home, but I'd left some stuff over there. Since his boat was parked in his spot off his rear deck, I moored up next to the scrap wood pile. I did make it a little nicer before I left though. What I wouldn't do if I'd had my cordless impact, cordless skill saw and a box of wood screws!
