Anyone use air bag "helper springs" on a late model (2009) Suburban or Tahoe? I sit nose high when the boat or travel trailer are in tow (less w travel trailer due a weight distribution hitch). Worth the $88.00?

Not sure about your application but they are a must have, definitely get them plumbed to a compressor so you can easily fill or dump whenever your load changes!

Thanks for the input. Just placed the order. Time to wait for FedEx to bring them to the door.

Had them on our 2002 sequoia sr5. Worked great to level the 23' Rinker Cuddy. Hope I don't have to add to the new 2013 suburban z71 I just picked up.

I have them on my (lowered with Eibach) Grand Cherokee and my wife won't ride with the boat in tow and no air! They are absolutely worth every penny.

And get the wireless compressor. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/24/3y2e3yge.jpg
It keeps 5 psi in them. That way your bags don't go soft and get pinched in your coils!

And don't forget the heat shield!! Very important.....

60 miles, riding on the bump stops home from the lake pulling the boat at 40 mph. Sounded like a shotgun when she popped! Had 60 psi in them at the time.

Does a heat shield come in the kit?

Some kits. The full size suv kit I gave the part # for does, but my Yukon is lowered so I had to switch it and use the kit made for a Trailblazer. The bags are shorter. That kit didn't come with the heat shield. When I mounted the shield from the first kit it was too far to the back and because we were pulling the boat, the truck was working harder, the exhaust got hotter, and melted the bag. I have since tried to make a larger one out of furnace ducting, but it is in a ditch somewhere I just noticed, when I went to go take a pic for you. Must make a new one soon!!!

The compressor won't let the psi drop below 5. If it does, it kicks on and pumps them up a little, so it's kind of automatic. It has two presets you can set to whatever psi you want.

I put a set of these in my '01 Suburban. Great result. Love them. I popped one of them right at the seam in the middle the first month and they sent me 2 new ones so I have a spare one in the garage somewhere. I don't have a compressor but I keep about 30-35 in them all the time. I kinda like the "jacked up" look I have when I'm not towing but I don't drive the 'burb that much without towing the boat or the dirtbike trailer.

I am getting airbags for the rear next year before the season. With the level I put on the truck when I have the boat in tow the ass end sags a little and puts the nose a little high and gives the trick a seriously bad profile.

The airlift kit showed up this evening. Pretty simple install.1623016231

I put them in and took a quick spin. It seems to be good so far. Can't wait to try them out while towing.

Just the manual inflation for now. Maybe an upgrade to an onboard compressor will be in store for the winter.

my 05 denali has the factory airride system in the rear. They are automatic and compressor kicks on whenever it needs to. They started to leak this summer and had to replace them. They are "heart attack" expensive and after I was revived, I paid to have them replaced and now have lifetime warranty. They really help.
