We have a NCAA thread so I figured we needed a NFL one too. Let's hear it!

I'm a 'Skins fan but watching this Carolina vs NYG game...SCAM Newton is TERRIBLE! Last year must've been a fluke!

I'm just gonna shut up about the Bears for a while after the whipping they took in all phases and the princess getting her panties all wadded up.

Da Bears!

Cutler is a lil whiney girl...he'll NEVER take the Bears anywhere...

I've always followed the pro team in the city I've lived in since graduating college, so my current team is the undefeated Atlanta Falcons. Dang, they looked good against Peyton on the 1st half on Monday night. Long trip to San Diego this weekend for them.

Allright, tonight's matchup features two teams with pretty good defenses going against offenses that cannot protect their QB's. Both have playoff aspirations but seriously need to correct the O-line issues. Da Bears have two banged up RB's and the offense just doesn't function without a healthy Forte. Worse, the one matchup I can't seem to ignore is J'Marcus Webb trying to block Demarcus Ware. I don't see this working out well for the visitors. My prediction, as much as I hate to say it is: 'Boys 27 Bears 20.

Good write up Kane. Only thing you left out is that both QB's aspire to be winning Super Bowl QB's but prolly never will

See post #13 above. Love being wrong. I can't believe how they got after Romo. But, that is not why they won. If you go back and look at how many times the ball hit Dez Bryant in the hands you will see. The guy is completely unreliable and let Tillman get in his head early on. On one play he was arguing with Tillman and moving around and got called for an illegal shift. The guy is a complete moron and really let his team down. Anyway, I'll take the win but am not convinced yet. Also, Forte should have sat out. He re-injured the ankle on his first carry so now he'll probably be gimpy all season. Urlacher looked a lot stronger this game though.

As a native Houstonian, I have to so say it's OK with me when ANY dallas team loses, but it's especially nice when da boys lose.

Oh yea, Texans all the way this year baby! Who needs Mario when you've got J.J. Watt. Nice to finally have some DEFENSE!

As a 'Skins fan I LOVE watching Dallas lose and it makes it even better when Romo has a game like he had last night. Talk about inconsistent?! What is it with this guy? He is TERRIBLE. I'm not sure why everyone is wanting this guy to be something he's not...he will NEVER lead Dallas to a Super Bowl....EVER.

I can't stand how San Franciscos back up QB is better than our entire QB line up in Dallas

I don't think the coach knew how good he is otherwise we would have seen him play sooner. He'll be up for grabs when his contract runs out based on the one game..lol.

Having a good offensive line has a lot more to do with it than the TV guys ever admit. Still, during the game the other night they went across both lines pointing out that SF has used multiple #1 picks on guys who start across their line. Meanwhile the Bears have 5 guys playing different positions than where they played in college and only one is a #1 pick, the guy who missed all of last year with knee surgery. It starts up front. It's why a guy like Cutler can mask bad line play but can't finish a season. (It's also an indictment of Mark Sanchez who plays horribly behind a pretty good line. As for Romo, he's in the same situation Cutler is in. Aikman talks a bunch of crap but he had a pretty dang good line for most of his career.)

How bout those Seahawks formerly called Sea Chickens and Sea Dogs. Who would want to be humiliated in their own back yard by playing them. They had an off day and still racked up 42 points. Perhaps when they are in the playoffs they will start getting serious.

So, Jerry has started his house cleaning. First the running backs coach, now D-Cord. Will he make it all the way up the ladder to Garrett?

I'm glad to see his DC go. He was wasting a lot of talent. I like rooting against the 'boys but it's more fun if they are competitive. Maybe Lovie will go home to TX.

Matt Ryan getting a lot of attention on espn right now. sounds like folks don't think he can get the monkey off his back. Seahawks put down the Falcons today?

Nope.

Next week the 49ers may end their run though.

49ers will embarrass all Falcon fans. Don't spend money to see your team lose. Spend it on a nice wake board or something.

Hmmm . . .

Didn't realize Seahawks fans were as big of crybabies as their coach.

Well, the Seahawks like the Falcons don't make it to the playoffs very often and I'm just proud they got where they did much like Falcon fans with their team. This isn't the Seahawks or Falcons year so just give them time and take your loss next week with grace. I think being out coached next week will be their demise.

wolfeman131
01-13-2013, 11:01 PM
Actually, the Falcons have made the playoffs quite a few times lately in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. They just couldn't win once they played a playoff game. But, today they did and may again next week.

Former Duck DJ Davis and Beaver Quiz Rogers both had a great game. Fun to watch, I couldn't believe the Seahawks got back in it!
