Aewsome looking ride , love the color combo. Second though the white tower would be the bomb on that combo.

that's a very nice boat. seeing that "baby blue" show up on several boat lines for '13. looks like that will be the color to order next year like green was a few years ago...
too late for the tower, but perhaps a baby blue or white bimini...

XM 9's powder coat to match blue on boat

The housings are plastic, so they can't be powder coated. I just had mine painted by an automotive painter and they came out awesome, and hold up great so far.

It looks nice but man it takes away from the pop effect, already the windshield is blending in, and you cant tell the top from the bottom. it just looks like a white boat with a blue strip now..

I really urge you to resist the temptations on turning the tower and speakers white..

I wouldn't change a darn thing! The tower ties into the winshield frame, like Mike said. I love her how she sits.

Glad to know that Ian... My dad owns a paint and body shop and I'll be doing mine green with black grills. 5% the windshield too brad.

Man seems like the jury is OUT on this white tower thing lol! Thanks for all the replies guys, makes me feel good about the purchase.

I think the black tower makes it look like an after thought, where having it white looks like it was planned. Black windshield frame could also be painted to match for that matter, then you'd be totally baller.

What is the cost of powder coating the tower white, I wonder.

I did a sticker (wrap) on my windshield frame (went chrome to red) and it has held fine for 3 seasons now.

... and a +1 for window tint.

White tower color matched speakers (blue) and a tinted windshield. Maybe white rims on the trailer. That would be straight baller.

WHITE LOOKS AWESOME!

I'd say go for it!... but it looks fine like it is..

Where in thee %+&* is the oil filter? Definitely not the same spot as my 05.

Open the engine hatch from inside the boat. Look to your front (bow side) left & you should see the mount with the filter directly underneath. The drain line that runs to the bottom of the pan is on the other side, hooked with a metal clip.

So if I'm on the rear seat, arms shoulder width apart on either side of the ski pylon I can tell you that it is nowhere near my left hand as it was on my 05. I see the drain line on the port side, but the oil filter isn't anywhere easily visible in the engine compartment.

For 2013 we moved the oil filter a little further down. On the starboard side, fold the engine access panel down and look directly under where the old remote filter used to be. It is actually down on the engine now. See this picture for reference. This was taken standing on the swim platform on the starboard side facing towards the bow. Not the best picture but the yellow spot is the filter.

Thanks Jon.

Is this the case for all engine options?

Is the remote mount an option?

Jon

The 330hp will have the filter on the engine. In some applications it actually makes it a little easier to change this filter. There will not be an upgrade option for the remote filter. The 345hp still has the remote filter location as in years past. I believe this is the same for the 450hp but I did not have one to check.
