The wife and I went out to the lake to scope out potential seasonal camping sites for next year this Sunday afternoon. On the way out I passed at least a half a dozen trailered boats going the other way back into the city. The exodus has begun.

We skied yesterday in 60 degree water in shorty wetsuits. I'm still hoping for a couple more weeks skiing. Likely with full wetsuits and or dig out my dry suit. Usually by the time i have to do that(drysuit) its usually time to start winterizing so THEN,the season will be over......SIGH!!!!!

The Willamette was 63 yesterday. Of course I wore a wetsuit. It's just so toasty! Oneil needs to sponsor me. No one gives them more on the water advertising time than me.

I got to ski last Friday just before having to leave to come to Dubai for work. I will be home next Wed and have no desire to even think about putting the boat away for the winter yet? However when I talked to home yesterday it was only +1 celcius so the water will continue to cool even though the day time temps are still at 23.

This having to go to work thing is really pulling me away from my skiing. Makes me sad as I am only home for 4 days then its off to Bakersfield CA for a week. Oh well as always I don't winterize her until just before Halloween so I should be able to get a couple more runs in yet!

I know what +1 is but have no concept of what 23 C is. But, that's OK. Because the U.S. Government has assured all of us that we will be finished with our total conversion to the metric system by 1984.

Man I don't want it to be over yet either. We are in the low 60*s and in the 30*s at night last year we were still at 80 this time of year. So much for global warming.

Sad day this morning. I got up and noticed it was 10 degrees warmer then it has been. 57 today, and i opened the garage to head to work and it was raining.

Back in the house to grab my rain pants, and my full face helmet..Sad day..Very Sad.

Yes, me and Brian get together quite a bit for lunch, boating, or what ever we both have time for. His wife is into the Hula thing, along with his daughter. We were planning on taking some of the Hula girls out on the boat. The weather isnt playing nice though.

Our Mobius is out of the water for the year as well. Earlier than normal but the threat of hard frost is just too strong. Did not even get in the water this weekend. We have a fallback boat for one more week if the weather turns around, but there is only two of the crew still at the dock...

My boat is going back in the garage Today from the RV Pad but thats because i need to start the big cleaning ritual and the 43 degree nights are a bit colder then i like on the girl.

We did get out yesterday but i think it might hve been the last big outting for the year. Next trip might just be a day floating on the water and burning more fuel out so i can fill her with non ethanol for the winter.

We may have one more outting but doubtful. I have scheduled my winterization for 3 weeks from now so it will soon be time to get her all waxed and cleaned up for winter hibernization...

Total hours put on the boat this summer as of today...75. Total overall hours...97.

My summer was over Labor Day weekend. I tried a tantrum, landed it then caught and edge. I tore something in my shoulder when I refused to let go of the rope. The cortisone shot didn’t help at all. I have an MRI in a couple of days.

The good news is I put 143 hrs on the boat this season, total hrs 159.
