I suppose this weekend is going to be crap 4 my 3 days off. Not very happy. Now the season is going to wind down. Got a month maybe before it gets iffy.

So far, this is the first day without rain of at least 6 hours in about 2 weeks. I had to take the boat off of the lift because of all of the rain from Isaac.

Accuweather app on my iPhone shows chance of afternoon shower on Saturday and Sun sun sun on Sunday and Monday for Lake Lanier...I am of course 40 miles north of downtown ATL

We very seldom see rain from July through September and this year appears to follow the trend. The water temps are warmest of the year which makes this the best boating of the year with kids in school.

Yeah, random hidden rock bar meeting didn't turn out so well for the prop. Now it's getting repaired. So this holiday weekend will be spent inside watching football, chasing kids around while my wife sleeps all day Saturday and Monday because she works Friday night and Sunday night...fun times.

The weather guy stated that we have had 17" of rain in Aug locally.
Dang, sorry to hear that Eric. The weather looks like it might improve. Storm moving a little faster than I thought. Ribs do sound great. We found out yesterday that my daughter can't give her mom a kidney due to some scar tissue so we are now back to square one. Little bit of a setback. Hope to get a little ride in this weekend.

Not often I get to brag about weather compared to those of you in the south, but it is 90 today and planning for mid-80's all weekend up here in West Michigan with no rain. Probably last weekend of boating with the family then it will be too cold(or too busy) for them. Hoping to Board/Ski through October with a little help from the wetsuit.
Praying all stay safe whether you are on the lake this busy weekend or trying to stay dry from Isaac.

I hope the rain holds off this weekend. It says 30% for the weekend but I usually find that 30% every time!! Jack, we'll be coming through your area tomorrow heading back to smith lake for a couple days.

Had to work

Got out for 2 hours today and had to quick get back home. Thunderstorms everywhere. Went ahead and planted my turnip greens and drank beer
Ok, so like I had to come in early yesterday. Stayed home today and it didn't rain at all. Now the rain chances are higer tomorrow. This is killin' me. Going tomorrow anyways unless it's raining when I get up.

Ohhhhhh, I made the offer Jack. You should have come this way. My friend says Sinclair is " in the bubble" and that's been spot on this weekend! And, the ribs tonight were outstanding.
Well, I had smoked chicken thighs with Mongomery Inn sauce. That was good. Down to my last bottle. Weather is kind of bad tonight. Oh well, back to work tomorrow. Look forward to Saturday

Rain held out right until we were packing up to go and when it did, oh brother! We were all completely soaked for the ride home.

Jack - Alabama has a home game Saturday, September 29, against Ole Miss. Judy, our middle son (23), and I would drive down Friday from Illinois, stay the night in Birmingham, pull into Tuscaloosa Saturday morning, and spend all day tailgating. My preference is to stay Sunday and drive home Monday. If it happens, any chance that Sunday afternoon I could hook up with you to tour the lake? - Stuart
