Are the Moomba LSV and Supra 21V the same hull? For some reason I was thinking they were the same design but the Supra hull was more dense...not sure though. I've been thinking about downsizing and want to stay with either the Moomba or Supra. I've been looking at the 20V, 21V and the LSV. I want something that is not too intimidating for the kids and fits in the garage.

I don't believe that they are the same.

Don't think you can wrong with a 21V or LSV

FYI - the 20V will not be produced in 2013.

Not the same. 21v hull produces a very steep wake and is much deeper overall.

Pick the one you like that fits in the garage. Can't go wrong. Both get it done.

lsv all the way. the 20v was good at most, but not great at anything. lsv looks to be a solid wakeboard/surf boat with the new freeboard. have heard from a few and in talking to the dealer here that the 21v is a solid wakeboard boat(said better than 22ssv), but it's surfing wave is not that great.

I had LSV and have 21v. Totally different hulls.
Can't go wrong with either, but what you describe, you will love the LSV for family.
Clean non intimidating wake with 0 ballast. Easy to get. Good surf wake. Slalom wake not bad either

Roomier than 21v as well.

I was under the understanding that the 21V wake is more rampy and less steep than the LSV. Also heard the 21V is less weight sensitive side to side than the LSV. All in all the 21V is 21'4" and the LSV is 21'6" and I believe the 21V has a slightly wider beam. Like 100" or so compared to the LSV 97"

21v wake definitely wider. i have to ride faster on 21v to get w2w @ 70' than i did on lsv..

I just switched from an 08 XLV to a 13 LSV and I couldn't be happier. As far as the wake, the surf wake is much nicer than the XLV. The wakeboard wake is still a tad more sensitive to weight shifts than the XLV, but the ballast system is much faster with the dedicated pumps.

I was told the 21V wake was steeper, steeper even than the 22V...

I found the exact opposite on my XLV compared to the LSV. I found I liked the surf better on the XLV but found it more weight sensitive then the LSV.

Coming from an lsv to a 21v I have to say that for wakeboarding I like the 21v wake better, it's cleaner at longer line lenghts, less weight sensitive, and has slightly more transition. At the same time I feel like the LSV had a nicer surf wave. The 21v rides a little better through chop

With all the responses I guess they are completely different hulls. For some reason I was thinking they were from the same mold just the Supra hulls were thicker and heavier. Good to know. As far as my XLV I find that it is very weight sensitive and the wake only cleans up on both sides at much higher speeds. It makes it difficult for my daughters to go back and forth over the wake. They are only 9 and 5. The 9 nine year old can go back and forth over the wake just sometimes she gets tripped up in the white wash. I haven't decided which sport, wakeboarding or wakesurfing, I'm going to allow my daughters and son to enter the pro circuit in....LOL. Once I figure that out it will probably narrow it down to which boat.

the new LSV will allow you to let them try both, or better yet, have one on each tour!

I have really enjoyed our LSV over our XLV
Pro's for LSV
Fits in garage
Less senitive to weight
Better gallons per hour
Better MPG towing to lake
Con's for LSV
No playpen
No back for rear facing spotter behind driver, mom takes the port side seat.
