We have purchased as of June 2012 our first boat. An 04 Moomba Outback LS. We love our boat...

We have been making some modifications to the stereo, adding Moomba etched POP up Cleats, addyd chrome cup holders, changing the platform pad to a teak Seadek pad, and we have removed the stickers and will run naked union we buy the Chrome Moomba package.

We went from 2 cans - BaZooka speakers to 4 cans of Skylon cans and Kicker speakers. We also replaced all 8 singles and added 1 subwoofer and added an additional amp. We rewired all the speakers and now have great crisp sound that echos for days.

The teak Seadek platform should be in soon! Also, we ordered new reg numbers from Domed. The Moomba chrome letters and numbers. Our next step will be upgrading the carpet.

Also will be adding additional ballast. We have about 370-400 hard ballast, 370 Fly high Fat sac in ski locker. We will also be getting one more Fat Sac.

We love our boat and didn't have to make the changes, but wanted to make it our own!!!

We love our etched Moomba popup Cleats. They look great

Looking nice, I did the pop-up cleats also, always a little sketchy drilling into a new boat! Holy scary trailer, no rudder protection!

It took what seemed like FOREVER for my SeaDek to arrive too. And when it arrived, it didn't have the Moomba logo embossed like I had ordered! SeaDek offered to take it back OR refund me the logo charge+10%. I chose the latter, but miss not having the logo.

Yes it was a little scary...I had a few beers to get me prepped. I helped as everything went smooth and nothing is crooked...Glad it's done!

We chose the one peice teak SeaDek with no logo as we are going to be purchasing the chrome package and it will be on both sides and the rear of the boat. We didn't want to overkill on the logo's...

Here is a picture from before they were placed on the boat. The quality is way better than I had expected. They are a thick raised (domed) shape. They place easily on the boat...we put on the night before we went out, and they went on quick and easy. Would def order from again.

This may be a dumb question, but where did you get those "Moomba" pop up cleats?

From a dealer? I dont really have one close to me.

I would like to get a set for my '02 that I am trying to clean up and is getting a new interio this October.

Eric.

Eric,

Best bet is to search ebay, but those may be hard to come by as SC has used plain cleats the last few yrs.

Hey...the Cleats we got were on eBay from Great Lakes Skipper he has 8 Moomba etched Cleats left.

We bartered with him on price per cleat so don't pay full price. :-) and had them include shipping. We called in our order and had them in less than a week!!!

Sweet. We really like ours...it was nice to get some pics on the water today. Took the old iPhone for a float to get some pics and turned out pretty good. Glad you like the domed reg numbers. I think it was a pretty good price for a great product.

Our Seadek teak platform will be here on the 20th. Can't wait to get that on... We just had our boat interior autocad so that we can get a price on Seadeking the floor.

Ok, We started to get our LS ready for the summer. A small project is moving in to an overhaul, but well needed and fun. So here are a bunch of pictures of the process. We will continue to update you over the next week or two until we finish up and are water ready. Thanks for all the comments and look forward to any questions or comments.

We are replacing all the lines and once we started to we found fresh water hoses kinked and debris in the oil cooler screen. Trans Mounts were in bad shape so we decided to re powder coat and install stainless hardware. We are also replacing all the fuel line, fresh water hose, wet exhaust hose, and ballast hose.

So I was able to get approval from the wifey...as I scanned Craigslist I found the Wetsound System I have wanted, but didn't want to spend $2200 on them.

Well a deal of $800...I had no choice but to get them...I will be taking the covers off to paint white, but this is a deal I couldn't resist!

The wifey said " Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, Happy Easter, Valentines, Thanksgiving, and everything in between! You are covered with all the updates, changes, and purchases for the year."

I WILL TAKE IT...

The boat they were on...Mariah. I would take that too, but $50K is out of my reach...It was a bad ass boat for sure.
