This weekend myself and David Langston (RDLangston) put together our 2nd Annual Moomba / Supra Texas Jam at Bethy Creek Resort located in Riverside, Texas. I speak for both David and myself when I say we greatly appreciate everyone who helped make this event happen and for all of you who came to enjoy what was a great weekend.

First off, many thanks to our sponsors:
Skiers Choice - Rick T. & Amy at Skiers Choice were phenomenal on helping with our shirts!

Rinkers Boat World - Donating $500 gift cards to their shop, CWB Wakeboard as well as bringing out a sweet Launch 22'.

Exile Audio - Making the flight down from Oregon was great in itself but to throw in a ZLD Equalizer and Exile balls on top of that!? Brian, you're top notch.

Nettle Props - Made the drive from Austin and helped those who wanted to try out new props. Also donated $300 gift certificate towards Nettle Props! Glad you guys made it out!

Shane (Tegu) - Brought more than enough BBQ for everyone to enjoy! The food was great and we can't thank you enough!

I think we had a total of 16 boats make the event!!

First - thanks to David, Cody, sponsors, et.al. that pulled this awesome event together. All 3 generations of my crew had a blast. Really neat to meet Brad, Brian, Mandley, etc., etc. & all that made the trip.

The teenagers thought it was cool to hang out at the raft up & really enjoyed the mix blasting from Dusty's boat. My daughter's EPIC sunglasses were a hit with the owner of the EPIC boat (great guy btw)
15760

Fitting that our first runs of the day behind the old school direct drive were on the slaloms. I think my JOBE is as old as the boat?
15761

Dad at 68 (years old, not line length) - "I taught that boy everything he knows..."
15762

Mom still enjoys her cruising - especially on the Trinity butter. However, she would drop off whenever a sacked out wake board/surfer passed the other way. She's not a big fan of the big wakes, but can actually hear the big sound systems.
15763

Should have some more pics of our surfing, kneeboarding, tubing on the other camera. Wish we could have stayed Sat night, but the folks were just too tuckerd out & couldn't hang with the young'ns.

Thanks again & did anyone happen to save me a shirt?

Hmm... Lanier might be ok. We'd have to find lodging with docks, maybe a marina? I'm not familiar with Lanier. It'd save the Wolfe family from all the prep and clean up you have done in the past... Not a bad idea Drew.

Maybe a little, but I'm sure David & Cody would tell you that there is still a lot of time involved with putting these events together.

I dont know who gave her the name Ole Blue but her the name she gave us was Jenny.

Story as i know it is,
She met some guy on FB a few days back and meet him to come to the party. You will see his boat in some of the pics, its a Supra 242 with the Wrap that looks like a lot of stars.
He brings her to the party,
She gets hammered im talking to the guy she brings and shes in the water socializing with everyone. Then she starts hanging on a few different guys and i guess the guy she came with gets mad.
When we break up the tie up, he just leaves her in the crowd and goes to trailer his boat.
I see his boat on the shore and then i see it drive off. No big deal.
Well then i see Jenny sitting alone on the beach.
I go ask her where her ride when and she said he left her, and she has no way home, or anyplace to stay.
Well the way i was brought up doesnt allow a woman to be stranded like that.
I tell her she can crash at me and Bs place if she needs a place to sleep but we are leaving tomorrow AM and we are not headed to Houston where she said she lives.
So i take her to the room, she showers, changes and asks for a smoke. No one really smoked at the event that i saw. So being the nice guy i am, i take her to town for some smokes. Of course she has no money so i buy them, whats 5 bucks at this point.

Then we head back to the party, evidently at this same time is when all the food was going on, because i completly missed the food deal. So me and her got no BBq =(

I had a foot long sub in the fridge so me and her split that.

Then she wants to go to the part under the pavilion. Shes still sooo hammered so i kinda feel responcible to make sure she doesnt get into to much trouble.

Im sitting at the table talking to a bunch of people and shes there and everyone is making fun of her because shes so drunk. She doesnt even notice it but i did and even harrassed the people a bit for teasing her so much.
Well she desides to go play Beer Pong and get even more drunk.

Around 12ish i deside im done and tell her im going to bed. B is already in bed LOL.
She wants to keep parting, so i tell her im leaving and the door is locked. She was being pretty chummy with several guys so i really wasnt to worried about her not having a place to sleep when i locked our door LOL.

Around 430 or 5 theres pounding at the door, i open it and its her, saying shes cold, and has been sleeping on a swim deck lol.

Im pretty much up so i let her in and tell her she can have my bed.
she comes in uses the restroom and asks if we have food, i say nope. Then she passes out cold on the bed.
I sit there for an hour watching the news and drinking water, then pack my bags put them in the car and go get coffee.

I come back and Brina is up packing, Brad and Drew are up. Drew heads off to the airport, me B and Brad go out on the boat, of course all our gear is packed and locked in the car now.

We get back a couple hours later, help Brad clean up his boat and then i wake her up saying get dressed we have to leave.

She askes if were going to Houston i say nope we are headed the other direction. She says fine ill call my parents or friend to get me.

We say ok and leave.

Thats who ole Blue is.

^ What Chawk said.

And we (my crew, and bzubke's crew) were up in the after hours and saw what happened between about 12 and 2:30. Yikes, wow, sheesh, ygbfkm, etc.

The girl was beyond drunk. My guess, as well as some others was molly. In her mind, she was at a rave...ALLLLLL night. She just kept going. A few girls even tried to help her stop making a fool of herself and she refused, and was downright rude to them. After B and Mike left, when we put the boat on the trailer she was out front on their porch owning it. Pacing around, smoking, still talking to anyone that walked by....you guessed it..back in the blue suit!

The question is who does not have fish net stockings and furry hand cuffs already on board? Well I like Velcro more then Furry Hand cuffs. At least Velcro has more then two uses on a boat.

Mike, Props to you. That is a hard decision to make letting someone you have never met sleep in your room. Sorry you missed the BBQ. Next year we for the NW jam we should fly in some good BBQ for a group dinner.

I do not think any of the other Jams can top a story like this. I mean really you meet someone on facebook and go on the road with them two days later then you try to hook up with other people in front of him. I still am missing the 2 to 5 am story.

HAHA well yea i am a bit chivalous at times in deed. Im pretty glad i didnt see anything after the table dancing she was doing.

I did the smart thing though, i called Claudia and gave her the low down, that night and even the next day. Didnt want something to happen and her find out the wrong way LOL.

Yea me and B knew she was trouble and neigter of us were letting her stay unattended but at the end of the day, i just couldnt let her say out in the cold. Not that its actually cold in Texas this time of year LOL.

There was no way she was getting a ride, even if we went to Houston lol.

Yes your right theres a reason she is in the position shes in, shes not helpless, and chooses to be in the positions she gets herself into.

Wait Mark I do not see the fish nets on her. But I did hear she was dancing on a table and well that leads to passed out on a table.

Mike, You are a smart man I have to say. Calling to tell Claudia what was going on was a very smart move. you would not want a post to pop up that you spent a night with a 20 year old. Dang facebook changes the truth. You really have to watch out for the 20 year old's. They might be a lot of fun but they are the ones you have to tell to keep their feet in the boat well it is moving and not over the bow.

LOL!

We had a nice little crowd with Dusty, Zubke & RD in the shadows witnessing all of the action from Ole Blue.

For most part, she would stand up and start dancing by herself, on a table, to whichever song was played. And trust me, people were playing songs on purpose knowing she would dance.

I believe I saw 4 or 5 different outfits. Blue bathing suit, fish net stockings, orange sports bra, NO PANTS...yes, she straight up dropped her pants in front of about 20 people...white g string...for about 2-3 minutes until she decided on what other pants to wear. This may have been the time she switched to fish net stockings and busted out the fuzzy hand cuffs.

She had many, many beers, jello shots, red bulls and who know's what else.

mmandley
08-16-2012, 09:28 PM
HAHAHA thats pretty funny, im glad i missed all that. I will add when she come in at the end of the night she had no problem getting but naked and climbing into the bed, then she got up and asked for something to drink, i pointed to the fridge and she looked in there and said. Dam all you got is Beer and water.

Is there anything else we really need to drink? LOL

So she took a water, at this point B woke up slightly looked at her then rolled back over.

She then went to bed. and passed out.

Next Day in the Car B asks, was Jenny naked at the fridge or was i dreaming, Nope you saw what you saw man LOL.

rdlangston13
08-16-2012, 10:15 PM
Well mike you solved the mystery to what happened to her after we all went to bed. We figured she passed out out in the woods somewhere. We heard she was wondering around the park in the morning and caught a ride from her dad who drove up from houston.

It's crucial to the story to know that she wasn't just dancing. At one point the wobble was on and a bunch of the girls were all dancing like normal people and then she comes out and starts trying to grind her booty on everyone. All the other girls quickly vacated the "dance" floor and then she looks up like "where did everyone go???". Every time should would dance it was highly inappropriate and this other group of people tried to blame us for pawning her off on them. It was very very interesting.

I'll add my part to this whole patchwork story.

After the guys left her at the tie up, she was determined to get to shore. The tie up was a good 50-75 meters from shore and too deep to walk. Obviously a determined 20 year old isn't going to let a little swim stop her. I was about to pull out and got my crew onboard quick fearing she was going to drown. I pulled up next to her as she was ostensibly swimming to shore. I asked her if she was ok and she quickly blurted out that wasn't so we picked her up. In the short ride to the dock she briefly explained her situation to us over sobs and a side of tears. It involved being her from Russia, breaking up with her boyfriend yesterday, and giving up on trusting men. She then swiftly shifted back to her immediate concerns which involved getting her phone from their boat, her wallet from their camper, and her HEELS from his house! She hit the dock in a sloppy jog right after we pulled into the slip.

I can't make this stuff up boys...

Agreed - a hilarious (albeit sad) aside to a great event.

I had some of the "young ones" on my boat & even they knew better. Less than 5 minutes after joining the raft up, my 13 y.o. said, "this is really cool, but that girl over there looks too young to be smoking and drinking like that.." while pointing out "ole blue" staggering around on a platform a few boats down.

Now I don't feel so bad about having to leave early. At least my young'ns were spared further "educational" moments. Glad I didn't have to explain how fishnets help break up the surface tension of the water so wake-to-wakes are easier and furry handcuffs are a training aid for prewrapping the handle for a 540.

Plus I'm afraid that if I'da stayed past dark, flipped on the new RGB's, & had em pulsing to the beat, she may have had a flash back with whatever chemicals were flowing in them veins - "Don't forget guys, these girls are working for tips & dances. Next up on the center stage, let's hear it for "Ole Blue"...

Half my hospitality to her might have been strongly urged by the beer and the 2 jello shots i had.

For the record, the swim from the Docks to the tie up is completly doable. I did it because i wasnt waiting for a boat to give me a ride, i just dove in and swam. Once i got to the tie up, Hiedi was first to greet me and had me a cold brew in a Moomba Coozie ohh yea thats my kinda friend.

And EXACTLY what I expected. Just fantastic. Simply outstanding.

I feel guilty(tiny bit) for making fun. She obviously has issues. But isn't it strange how some folks are just hard wired to act like that? Its like they simply cannot get out of their own way.

Actually tell ya the truth - Mike is a class act. He checked up on her a few times to make sure she had her head on straight. Unfortunately, she didn't, but atleast fathers everywhere can rest assured there are a few good guys out there to make sure your daughter doesnt end up passed out in a ditch or in her case, a boat ramp somewhere.

re beers: so true! but even in O-r-e-g-o-n, we drink boaters beer on the water. You start putting down Rogue Ale on the boat and your in for a long ride home. hehe Long live BLight!

Mike, I'm so proud of you. It would have been so easy to say, "Sorry- too much trouble and too much at stake." You were much more than it sounds like she deserved but acted like we all are supposed to act. I sure hope you make it next year when I plan on being there cuz I'll be proud to shake your hand.

Yeah mike did try to real her in back to reality and for that I applaud him! However I don't think it worked, what ever she was on had her high as a kite but mike did give the best effort in trying to stop her from humiliating herself

Id say she might have done a little testing with some recreational products.
Maybe thats why the "Hate Deez" crew released her... they migh have fed her some of it..

HAHA been on Lake Billy all weekend just getting home. Man the stuff i missed LOL.

At the point of that picture she was in control still, IDK who gave her a Bush beer, as you see i have a Bud Light from Dave's boat in one of his Moomba Coozies. It was shortly after that she finished that beer and went looking for other things, thats when i moved over and talked to Mike and his wife who had a new 21 Launch at the tie up.

Wonder if that was about the time she moved over to Ash and gave her a kiss then flipped her off of her floatie saddle.

funny thread..

we are in the process of converting a company called pamida to Shopko hometown. Pamida's #1 selling item is the busch 30pk. I don't drink it, but gotta support it as it's payin my bills now :)

NO kidding.. i have worked closely with Pamida.. called on headquarters and worked closely with them for a few years.
Gotta like the 30 pack value pricing!! (much like the 30 pack of NATTY LIGHTS i took to texas!)

when i was living in NY, there was a rural small grocery store that would randomly have REALLY CHEAP deals on some closeout buy on beer... like Milwaukee's Best LIght ICE for $6.99 a case... always checked the beer section to see what they would have cheap.

sandm

I'd take that Milwaukee's Best Ice Light over Natty any time. Can't drink natty or dog style. Just about everything else is great. Used to get Old Milwaukee Light for the boat all the time in the college days.

Yeah, who ever designed the jam shirts should help them pick stuff in the gear section. that is by far the best looking shirt i have seen in a while with the moomba logo, exception is the "wicked" shirt that deerfield put together last season.

Love "Lon's" boat in the background Ha!

Mike is a stand up guy. It is nice that he is in the area and always a phone call away to help out. I just have to give him a hard time with the Orange cap on.

Brian, You are right about having a beer that is 7 to 12% it is a game changer.

Now even I know you do not tip a Texas woman and try to spill her beer. They will take you out and your body will never be found.
