Yesterday i got another chance of a lifetime, to do charity, and use my favorite hobby at the same time.
We took ole Fierah to Foster lake to participate in Wake The World.

This is an event growing around the US, this year it was 15 events in 13 states, Next year we hope its even bigger, i know its here to stay in Oregon.

We basically get paired up with Foster families and take them out on the lake to wake board, wake surf, and tube. Things most of these familes have never done or dont get to do do for what ever reason.

Its also a chance to show these troubles kids not all adults are bad, and show them to look at the brighter side and life can still be everything you want it to be.

Theres not a lot of pictures, and i didnt take any of these, they are all from a Professional photographer Jon Currier. I know him personally and hes a great guy, there are a lot of rules about taking pictures of the kids so you wont see to many direct shots of them. The even was awesome and i hope you all contact Wake the World and start events in your area. You wont be disapointed.

Kudos to all the guys who gave time, gas, love to these families. Glad so many brands were represented too. This sort of work is extremely gratifying. I've been thinking about joining in an event they do here in FL for disabled kids.

Very cool event Mike. I've never heard of it until now but what a great way to give something back and have a lot of fun doing it! I met Vince last summer - cool guy. Sharp pics all the way around.

I sure will. I think it's in Ocala or Gainesville. The lady that told me about it recently had double knee replacement surgeries. OUCH! I haven't seen her in a while.

Just found out the Ohio one ran into issues, but we might try and pull it off still before school starts.

Pat, sorry to hear they had issues, i know i have seen a few things on the W Virgina event.

Jester, love that sticker, each year i will make sure i get one just like it but with the correct year on it from someone very cool i know.

PS i did fix the Nav light on the bow, it was a loose wire.
Good thing you dont check the truck as part of the inspection, i blew a tailight but those got fixed as well. LOL

Only requirement is the boat be an inboard. Trust me what these kids deal with in their daily life is far worse.

Way to go, Mike! Wake the World Chicago area event will be held on Tuesday, August 7. Venue is the Fox Waterway. Looks to be a pretty good group of boat owners. Will post a report.
