This event is alot of fun and goes to a good cause if you are near enough to drive out to Lake Tillery for the day. It's in the High Rock/Badin/Tillery chain about midway between Raleigh and Charlotte.
Sat, Aug 18, 10am-5pm - all types of boats welcome (doesn't have to be a Moomba). Food, Cash prizes, Sno-Cones. Start and Register at Beachbum Ski and Surf (southern end of Lake Tillery on the East side). Follow the map and Pickup your hand at locations around the lake.
6 pm - 10 pm - Door Prizes and Winners Announced - Live Music by the David Michael Band - these guys opened for the recent Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw concert at BofA stadium in Charlotte.
$20 per hand. 1/3 of proceeds to Best Hand, 1/3 to Worst Hand, and 1/3 to Charity (Stanly Regional Medical Center Foundation).
