Who has read their manuals?

Curious to how many owners have read their manual thoroughly from front to back. No skimming and no this and that section. The full manual, your engine manual and your transmission and vdrive manual if you have one

never cracked it open. all the information I ever needed was on here or on indmar's site..
supra gave me a real nice leatherette pouch with all the stuff in it. got thrown in a closet and the only time I grabbed it was to give it to the new dealer when I sold it..

fwiw, the dealer was impressed that supra had the manual bag. it was very nice.

I read it the first night i brought the boat home with a 6 pack, and playing music. So i dont know how much that qualifys but i did read it.

Ironically my impeller took a shit in the middle of the lake today, causing an overheat with a full crew. Idled back, ran to the dealer, picked a new one up, swapped it, and it works great. Thank god!

i just think its funny how some of you are so gun hoe about the boat manual but the daily driving vehicle you intrust your and your families life with is an after thought.

I have 460 hours. Not sure how many times it has been changed. The last time my dealer did it was 2010, so ~200 hours ago.

I thought it was part of the winterization/oil change/maintenance that I have done before storage, but evidently it was not.


It wasn't entirely shredded, just looked a little worn. The real issue was that I dug this out of the inlet, after the trams cooler before the impeller.

So I have read my boat manuals but don't look at my car one. I see it this way. If my car blows up with me in it i get to miss work. If my boat blows up I lose my happy place and I might blowup.
