Not really. I wasn't very comfortable switching boats with my camera, and really didn't have the right lens for close quarters. If I dropped my camera on the water I would cry...seriously.

Nate, did you get the dual battery option?, if you did, did it come with a battery switch?

Thanks

The dual battery setup in the 13 comes with a perko switch and onboard charger

No dual battery. Yes to battery switch (on-off), and onboard charger. I have never, knock on wood, had a dead battery while on the water.

Does anyone know the colors that will be available for the 2013 year? I have been seeing a lot of the bright lime green. The Moomba website has still not been updated with the 2013 model information yet.

It looks like they posted something on the blog with specifications but the interactive website has yet to be updated. I was hoping for something that I could check out color packages and options.

Yeah us guys that have already ordered boats are left guessing what our boats are gonna look like. I got lucky and SC had their Photoshop people do mine but I had to beg.

Maybe a shot from the dock will give you a better idea?

I have no idea but my "spray date" was the 17th. They said it would take 7-10 days to build but not sure if they meant calendar or business days. I got a really crazy trailer that SC usually only offers to Australian folks so they said that could push the delivery back "a couple of weeks". Fingers crossed.

Surf wave, 60% center, 100% left rear. Wake plate 75% up, 11 mph. Not bad, gotta dial it in a bit though.

Don't know if you care to add a bow sac, but I ran last weekend with stock ballast + a 750# sac up front. Ran with center full, left v - full, bow sac around 500#, wake plate 90% up. The wave was perfect. Looked just like that but a little longer and a little more curled. Tons of push at 9.5 mph.

I got a galvanized and then painted trailer. SC didn't offer this as an option in the US so I had to go around the factory and open dialog with boat mate directly. My dealer set it all up for me.

Saw a new 2013 LSV in person yesterday, didn't get to spend as much time crawling through it as I liked but from what I saw it looks way better live than in pictures. Saw a mojo with a black and light blue color scheme too, looked pretty sharp. Can you get colored gel coat interiors on mojos now?

A little update. You can get the 2013 in a garage with a 7' door (with the swivel racks removed). The only gripe I have after 30+ hours is the swivel board racks will swing in and nearly decapitate passengers if the lake is choppy. Kind of scary. It has happened to me three times already.

Dang I just don't get it. It would be simple to take that into consideration when designing the tower and racks. I'm talking about having to remove the racks to get it into the garage, but I guess the decapitation is a significant consideration as well:rolleyes:

That's an option on another brand I'm considering. Only like $600 extra to have paint over galvanized.

I guess I will stay with he staronewake racks that lock with a pin on the 12 models on the xlv.

Nate - are the release knobs moving up & down for you? One of mine worked perfect out of the box, the second I had to take apart (fairly simple) and work the pin in/out a few times. When you take it apart, you will see the depressions the spring loaded pin recesses into so that the racks are locked in place. They won't rotate freely.

If the pin is engaging and you want to have more resistance when they rotate, there are 3 set screws on the bottom that you can tighten up.

JV - we like the Skylon racks much better.

jmvotto

Did not realize the locking pin on the skylon, with our lake it gets rough and a tension only rack would be dangerous. All is good.

NateHaskovec

Yes, the pins are working properly. They fully engage, but when running hard on choppy water causes them to work themselves out somehow. I think I am just going to get standard racks, so the boat will go in the garage. I will discuss trading them in under warranty. I dont run the boat with boards in the racks for now.
