Noticed this past week that in order to go into gear I do not have to squeeze the shifter before going into forward or reverse it will just go from nuetral to forward or reverse. The chrome ring behind the lever still engages into the rod that lifts the latch but somehow it has become inoperable on the shaft. Has this happended to anyone else and do you know a fix. Thank you for all the help on this forum.
