Lake Lanier is getting out of control.

Average year for Lanier. We were out there yesterday with extended family and it was like an ocean with the cruisers then add all the jet skis and it made it treacherous. But then we made it to about 4pm and it calmed down and was absolutely beautiful. I'll try and throw up a few pics from yesterday.

The maim thing about Lanier is it requires much more from the driver of the boat. Much less time to leisurely drive around like other lakes due to how busy the south end stays. I am CONSTANTLY on the watch. Whether I am sitting still or moving.

it's too bad. as they make them larger and faster, I would suspect that some type of controls will be in the making, but at the end of the day, all you are doing is creating more laws for the 10% that probably shouldn't own one and taking some of the fun away from those that are responsible.

I've seen ads for a 255hp 13ft long 3-person ski. buddy at work's first boat was a 14ft bayliner with a 50hp outboard on it. that ski is almost as big and TONS more power. seems that most have no issues turning rookies loose on that ski, but how many would send rookies out in that boat that's much more safe/secure..

Need more law enforcement presense and aircraft surveillance. You put enough heat on the law breakers and they will go elsewhere.

I think the only feesible solution is to have areas where they are allowed... and areas where they arent.

I just ordered a pirate sticker for the boat. Going to take things in my own hands from now on. The lake needs some law!
