There's been a post or two talking about the potential for water to get into the boat thru the docking lights, as they aren't sealed. Has anyone sealed them, and if so, what worked? I haven't removed them from the hull, but was thinking of pulling them off, and putting a bunch of goop behind them where they screw onto the boat, and re-installing and wiping up the excess. I didn't really want to just 'caulk' the interface between the light housing and the hull - I figured that wouldn't look all that good.

Any ideas?

I wouldnt seal it like that because the bulbs wont be accessed. I would just get some 1/8 rubber and cut a light frame out of it. THen use that as a gasket.

Really easy fix. Once you have the chrome cover off there are a few more screws underneath that release the housing from the hull. Silicone away!

I did mine with some left over 4200. Haven't leaked yet this year. Only been out once for 5 days though :)
