Noob looking to but first boat

So glad found this board. I know some the questions has been asked many times, and I did search the board. Since this is gonna be my first boat, I really like to get as much as information before I spend that $40-50k. Thank you in advance !

1. I am looking for a brand new Moomba LSV. Is there a big difference between the 2011 and 2012 model?2. Should I look for a leftover 2011 model? I think I could get a much better deal on a leftover model, am I right?
3. What the options you have to have on your boat?
4. What is a good price for a 2012 model, and what is a good price for a 2011 leftover model?

I went out on friends boat a few time, only did tubing, no ski. The main purpose to have this boat it's for my wife and kids. I was looking at MC X15, but the price for a brand new one is much higher than LSV, and it hard to find a clean, low hours used one.

Man that would be an awesome first boat, just remember the first one is going to get dings ect as part of the learning curve. FYI that is just me being jealous.

Great looking boat that's all set up already looks like. I'd try and "dicker" ( never heard that one before!!) a little and get the price down some but either way sounds like a good deal and one helluva first boat. Yank the decals and your all set!

47, 080 PLUS options, prep, and freight is gonna make it more than the black/white LSV you posted. Might wanna check with the seller of the first post you listed and see if their listed price has all that included or not

If you are shopping 2012 you'll have to shop from the Moomba dealer that owns your area. Where do you live? 2011 you can shop Moomba dealers outside your dealers protected area, but not current model year

1. Not really much difference.
2. Usually a left over model year can be had cheaper than the current model year.
3. Wide open here but I'd say bare minimum GIII ballast, wake plate, dual batteries, some kind of boards racks. and a Bimini top to fit the tower that is on the boat. Beyond that is is personal taste comfort, style, etc...
4. Whatever you feel good with that you can dicker the dealer down to and you can afford.

If its a new boat you get warranty, if it's a used boat warranty may be an issue, just an fyi.

I have house in Houston, and Portland. So I guess I can choose the dealer from those two areas.

It is a 2 inch ball yes sir. Or if you got some of Brian's balls those are way way bigger than 2 inch
